Is the mic quality good? I'd like a better pair for gaming, but don't like the large over-the-ear ones that are generally recomended.

The Mic quality is average, which should make this headset fine for gaming, other than for many PCs, you will need a splitter cable to plug in to headphone out + microphone jacks as higher end sound systems (it seems) tend to not include the combo port. It's not USB, so the audio pickup is analog, and you will be able to adjust the mic's volume in your PC settings with a decent degree of variance. My gaming friends had always complained about my headsets in the past, but when I asked how I sounded on this one, they said "We can hear you.. that's a nice change".

Has anyone ever mentioned or complained about an echo when using these to talk on the phone?

The pair of E171 sport earbuds work great for me. My friend and I chat alot and we never have any problems.

Will this plug into a plain radio
