This thing doesn't work at all

I bought one and it works quite well. The first time you use it after installing you will need to pump the dispenser for a very long time to bring the soap up. After that, the check valve in the tube will keep the soap up and ready for use. I like the thing very much.

What size hole is needed in the counter?

The diameter of the hole to install our Sink Soap Dispensers should be between 1.25 to 1.5 inch.

Can this product last for 3 days

YES, of course! The dispenser is made from quality materials and is not a consumable. You can expect to use this dispenser for many years. The company is highly sensitive to customer responses to their product and will bend over backwards to assist you in any reasonable way. In fact such deep customer support is rare in the US. If you think there is a problem with their dispenser they will be there for you immediately. (I know this because that is what I experienced. I returned the dispenser when it had a logo on top. They decided to remove the logo from the product line and offered me a free replacement. That is amazing.) Please note this dispenser comes with a check valve and hose for placing a soap jug under your sink instead of using the small bottle that screws up under the counter. This is what I was looking for and made to work in this manner.
