VAULTEK Nano Key Bluetooth 2.0 Fast Access Safe Remote (Compatible with Bluetooth 2.0 Safes Only)

A bedside gun safe must open with one touch by feeling in the dark. After sending back two otherwise good safes with fingerprint scanners that could not be depended on in an emergency, and concluding that the technology in general isn't up to the job, I splurged on a Vaultek safe (without a fingerprint reader) and a Nano key. It works 100% of the time. It is easy to conceal, totally safe from people who don't know of its existence.

Well made and easy to install. Took 3 tries to get it linked to my gun box. Instructions are simple, not sure why it took me 3 tries. Switch is simple to use and handy way to open box.

The VAULTEK nano key works exactly as advertised. Nice addition to the safe, would recommend.

The “button “ was easy to set up use. Great safety item for homes with NO children.

Wife will have this on her side of the bed. It will be attached. to the nightstand on the backside. I hope it holds up over time.

Make certain you are purchasing the correct compatible safe (Bluetooth ONLY not Wifi Version)After purchasing this on Amazon and being unable to pair the 2.0 Nano Key (Non biometric) I reached out to VAULTEK directly and was informed of the following:We apologize as the Wi-Fi slider is not compatible with the 2.0 smart key regardless of the false information Amazon provides.We are trying to get this fixed to prevent more cases of this from occurring but in the mean time we have the following options:We can either help you to return this item to Amazon for a refund, or we can help to exchange you to the compatible biometric nano key.However, the compatible biometric nano key (VSK-NT) will not be back in stock until late May.———————-This review is written on 4/8/23Lastly, it’s really unfortunate this Nano Key which was the primary reason I chose this safe over others like the Hornady are not compatible with the highest version of the safe.I now have to opt for the Nano Biometric Key (non 2.0 version)Sharing so you avoid my issue. Vaultek, to those who have one (or two...) is a great product. Very solid and well-made. The Bluetooth Nano Key however has one, very significant problem, not mention in the manual or previous descriptions.It is, and should only be used as a "Clicker", it takes a few seconds to respond and holding the clicker down keeps the safe locked! So only briefly click on it and immediately let off. Then in a few seconds it will open (A problem if you need the fastest access). Other than that it's a great idea and [almost] without flaws.

Amazing product to use in conjunction with the smart station. Make sure to keep this out of reach from children.
