SOLID
I got the max, A10, and they're quite impressive. Looks like solid steel/chrome, and heavy. I was concerned about holding some of the other, smaller dumbbell bars over my head whilst doing chest presses, like the Gold's Gym and Sunny brand bars, afraid they could possibly break under high weight (better safe than sorry). These bars are the strong, heavy-duty kind I was looking for. They accommodate all of my 1" plates. Only problem I have so far is finding some collars that fit, standard 1" spring collars are barely too small. Also, there is not much grip on the handle but I don't really care about that.

Great Quality
Exactly what I expected. High quality. Heavy duty.

Ader always comes through! I have several of their products over the years.
I always preferred the contoured handles – they just fit my hand so much better. I can grip the weight with more strength, security and comfort. Feels perfect for every rep. I started using them decades ago and would never go back; I'd never take a workout in a gym with regular non-contoured handles. These contoured handles feel bio-mechanically correct, which is the whole idea for maximum force application since in any kind of weight-training you MUST put the force on contracting the muscles NOT stressing the joints. Ader's quality never disappointed me and these handles are no exception. I keep adding pairs. Soon I will have a full set for all the professional made-up dumbbells that I have.

These are a solid product however there are some Facts to Consider. These are intended to have the weights installed more or less permanently using the supplied end bolts and step washers. I have exactly one of these handles and use it for bent over rows, and leave it set up for the weight I always use. If I go up 5 pounds in a few months then it's no big deal to take the dumbbell apart with a wrench and change out some plates, but it's not something I'd want to do every workout or multiple times in a workout. It works for me and was exactly what I wanted. You will need a hex wrench to remove the end bolts. Mine shipped with the bolts quite tight and it took some muscle to get them off. I believe I used a metric wrench. The handles are designed to accept 10 pound plates in all but one position. 10 pound plates are thicker than 5 pound plates, which are thicker than 2.5 pound plates. If you use multiple plates that are smaller than 10 pounds then the total width may end up less than the minimum needed, which means they'll be loose on the bar unless you use shims or put one more plate on than usual or something. The weight of the handle isn't necessarily a whole multiple of 5 pounds (my #4 weighs about 8 pounds) and so you might not be able to set it up for an exact standard weight, unless you use fractional plates or something.

Great product, much better than adjustable handles if you are going to use them regularly.
I bought three sets of these and made 100s, 85s, and 55s. I will buy a fourth set once I get plates to build 70s. I think that I would like a handle that is the same diameter the whole length of the handle for heavier weights but that is a secondary point. If you are using the same size DB over and over these are nicer than an adjustable dumbbell for either rows or presses where you are going to set them on end on your thigh. They are the same as in a commercial gym. Just go find some rusted 10# plates and clean them up and you can make great dumbbells.

Doesn’t fit 1” plates. Only 1.2”
Plate holes need to be about 1.2”. Not 1”. They are quality if you have the right plates.

Came late and broken
Terrible quality control. Package came in 5 days late and one of the handles had a botched thread rendering it useless

Just what I wanted
These are great. They hold the listed number of plates and the contoured grips are comfortable with heavier weight. There was a bit of machine oil residue when I received them, but a little Goof-off took care of that. I'm using the TDS end flanges (also available on Amazon) and they fit perfectly and give them a nice professional look (plus help when resting them on your thighs). Also, I read some reviews that stated the screws were difficult to remove; not so. You will need an Allen wrench, but they turn smoothly. Also, these are for assembling fixed weights that you are not going to be adjusting; however, 1" clamps will work, but they're right (tested because I was curious). If you're using these as adjustable dumbbells I'd suggest getting the 7s or 8s so you have enough room for the clamps. I probably wouldn't do more than 100lbs with clamps, though; if you're doing that, use the screws as intended.

Sneaky
The pic shows a number of bars ...only one shopped ... but I didn’t get to choose which one.
