These books are great, good story

Good reading, suspesful with a lot of historical facts about religion and the problems surrounding then - probably still today.

Very good and different to other detective stories

I don't think that the author takes enough time to develop the characters on a personal level. It's easy to see all of their political motivations, but that doesn't attract me to characters in books that I'm trying to read for fun. I agree with other reviews that the book turned me off with its constant political rants. Also it seems as if the author has a deep hatred of the church and Christianity and is on a mission to mock and paint it as psycho. I finished it because I am sick and housebound for the week, but if I'd had anything else better to do I would have scrapped it. I won't continue with this author or series.

Not read this one yet as i need to purchase the book written before this one first, but I have not been able to find that one yet. I have really enjoyed the series so far and have passed the books on for others to read, who also were impressed.
