Decent product
Product is decent. Only issue i had is the small plastic spoon broke and i cannot use it to put filters in or scoop. Seller sent out a replacement so i give 5 stars. I would buy again.

Simple to use
This is the second one I've purchased. Very straightforward to use, with clear instructions. Using it for my veg patch.

Fantastic gardening essential
The kit and the instructions are comprehensive and I am looking forward in the very near future (haven't used just as it yet as the weather has not been good) to understanding the structure of our soil. Leaves other soil test kits for dead!

so good! Being somewhat of a cheap nerd
So far, so good! Being somewhat of a cheap nerd, I compared wet chemical vs. other kits for determining soil pH, N, P and K. before buying this one. I found this kit easy to use, but perhaps some people will feel overwhelmed by the number of steps that need to be gone through in order to get the readings. Basically, you dig down a couple of inches into the soil you want to test. In this case, it was a bare spot in my lawn. You put various soil fractions in test tubes, add a reagent, shake (and filter in some cases - which the kit makes easy to do), and compare to a color chart. The results came back with what I suspected was the problem - much to acidic a soil and one depleted in N. I took the results and used the inclued chart, bought some fast-acting lime, N and other stuff to kill moss, and applied it to the lawn. So far so good! I am very pleased. The photo shows the test for Nitrogen.

Read the instructions
As far as I know the test were accurate. A little difficult, but after you do it once it very easy. Just read the instructions and do exactly what it says. The dirt needs to be crushed into powder. I put a little bit and put on a sheet of white paper, folded it over and used a glass paper weight to crush it into a powder.
