Very Cute and Fun
My 12-year old's review: "This kit is great! I loved the seal the most and was so excited to make it, and although I did have struggles, I managed with help! It comes with a book like the Sew Mini Treats and is descriptive. It has a cute image for each animal pattern and has stencils for making the perfect shape :). This was practically my first attempt at sewing, so it's no wonder it was a little difficult. I think Klutz is a great brand, and I enjoy their kits a lot! I made a lot of the animals, and they are great for gifts! Once you get the hang of sewing, it's very simple. It has the basics included in the book, even though I still needed to look back into the book or ask someone how to do it, it is informative. If you look at the instructions, use the stencils, pre-cut eyes and cheeks you CAN make it look like theirs! Most products have impossible covers and misleading pictures to make you think like you can make it that good, but that's not the case with this one! The Sew Mini Treats is a great kit to and if you like this kit I'd highly recommend also buying that! It comes with a book and stencils, just a different pattern, stencils and felt. Also, if you don't make all of the animals, there will be some pre-cut eyes and cheeks left, so you can use it when you get the hang of sewing, and want to make your own project! I think it is a very good gift and not to expensive for the quality! Highly recommend this and Sew Mini Treats!😊"

Great kit
This was for my granddaughter. It has everything in the kit you need to sew the cute animals except the scissors. She needed help tracing onto the felt and the cutting out was a bit fiddley but even with uneven cutouts she was able to stitch together. This was a great project for us to do together. The instructions are easy to follow. I would definitely recommend this for ages 8 and up, for a boy or girl. Loved the time we spent together completing the little fox.

A great kit for those who love to sew
I got this kit for Christmas because it combines my two favorite things-sewing and stuffed animals. I’m an experienced sewer and wanted to try something new by making stuffed animals. Opening this up, I do have a few notes.1. The instructions. These instructions were a bit-wonky. Some points were helpful and others were kind of confusing. I didn’t have too much trouble but had to get creative sometimes because I didn’t understand what I was supposed to be doing.2. The thread. This thread was straight awful, it was cheap, thin, and hard to work with. I had this tangle so many times I thought my head was going to explode! The colors match well enough and aren’t too annoying but boy did they tangle.3. The fabric. There was a lot of fabric in this kit. I was able to make 25 mini animals by getting creative with the scraps. The guides weren’t too bad to work with, just the finer details were a bit difficult to translate onto the fabric. I liked the color options and how you could make the animals whatever color you wanted.4. The stuffing. There wasn’t a lot of stuffing in this. Maybe I was overstuffing the animals a bit and ran out quickly because of that, but I had to supply my own stuffing for like half of the animals I made. My suggestion is to have a bag of stuffing on the side just in case you run out because nobody likes a flat animal.Overall, this was something I enjoyed a lot and gave me something to do for a couple days over the summer. I’d gift this to someone older who’s had at least some experience sewing. 4 stars and I would buy this again just to make more animals!

Very adorable, predictably mini
I got this (and the mini foods) for a stress relief distraction for myself and my roommate. We've had fun making them. One note - the "Bunny tail" (which does not have a tail in the instructions, but does have a cutout pattern) I believe is actually the pig tail - which has a tiny circle you're supposed to try to spiral, and the "bunny tail" is a much more reasonable size for that.I also bought a snap tool and left them hollow and added snaps to some, which was fun to make them into little hidden pouches. You will definitely need small SHARP scissors. The felt can be difficult to cut, since it's so soft. This set also has patterns for decorations, like hats and sunglasses, which are fun to apply to other sets as well. Once we finish the food and animals, the sewing plants are next on our list! With extra felt and floss, you can make an infinite number of these little critters and the book shows several variations on color and expression for inspiration.I have some sewing background a long time ago, and she has absolutely none, and neither of us had trouble following the instructions. As one would hope, as we are both adults, lol.One last note - it's tempting to skip around, but for a beginner, start from the first project, so it teaches you as you go.

Ok but could be better
The instructions were not that good cause when you start getting to the end so like the pig that we were making it said to put the legs and arms on at the end, but you should’ve put them on at the beginning and in general, entire steps are missing out of the instructions. Like half of the time they don’t even say to leave a hole to put in the stuffing, they just assume you know how to do that. If this is for beginners, then there is no assumption, every single step needs to be laid out in detail. but the finished product is very cute & my kids enjoy these simple sewing projects.
