Great for Hormonal Acne if You're CONSISTENT. :)
I've always had acne since puberty, and it never went away. I've tried pills, creams, diets, nothing worked. I had gone to a Korean based dermatologist once and they did in fact remove my acne completely, BUT it came back once I ended treated (too much money to continue the medicine they gave me for my body which produces too much Androgen & Testosterone). Basically what I had was agressive "hormonal acne" centered around the edges of the chin & edges of the face b/c of these hormones. So diet or exercise wouldn't help. I know this was true b/c I was in track & a healthy eater for a while and still had bad acne for years. I basically needed hormone pills and regular dermatology to control it, which had worked but was far too expensive.I read about non-conventional Acne treatment, and Desitin came up. It has done wonders drying up the acne. But I warn you all, it WON'T happen overnight, it took me 5-6 months of using it every night plus using "Cetaphil Face Moisturizer" in combination. Plus your results will vary based on your type of acne. So I don't know how light acne will fair, or severe pustule acne. So I can't speak for theses types, only hormonal acne (regular pimples, not severe huge pimples) centered around the chin, and edges of the face.[PROS]-Dries up acne over a period of several weeks (some flare-ups do happen if you are stressed).-Removes almost all acne after 5-6 months (for my hormonal acne at least).-Cheap & affordable for drying up hormonal acne vs. pills or dermatology sessions.-If you get a bottle that has a "fishy smell" it really isn't too smelly, and more than tolerable.-If you are very consistent in it's usage, using it every night, or every other night. It will work.-You don't have to change your diet or exercise for it to work.-Adding moisterizers & face wash will speed up the process.-Lightened up skin blemishes after several weeks for lighter blemishes, and months for darker ones.[CONS]-Takes several months to see lasting results. Slow but very effective. If you're impatient/inconsistent I wouldn't recommend it for you.-Box arrived damaged, however the product inside was perfectly fine & un-used. Worked like a charm.-Took a while to ship, slower delivery than most items I have bought.-Stains fabric (some fabric permanently), so use towels to prevent staining clothes/fabrics & only use in your "at-home" or "older" clothes. However not all items stained so it can be washed out for some fabrics.Again these are only the results for the "hormonal acne" around the chin/edges of the face I had. I cannot speak for light acne, severe acne, or full-face acne. For those I suggest looking up treatment creams/face washes for those types on (.edu) or (.org) websites. But Desitin does work for acne, it's just about consistency.

things you should look out for
1. we used it for the skin near the butt of our baby. For majority of the population maybe it doesn't matter, for some babies they are allergic to certain ingredients. For this brand they come with at least two types, we used to get one from CVS but it has been harder and harder to get. we looked at the photo and it matches the first type we bought, after getting it we realized there is a tiny difference, the one we got is the type which will cause allergic reaction to our baby's skin. Again, for majority people the two different types do not make a difference. You have to test it out. It is generally safe for the babies.2. if your baby do start to get allergic reaction (rash, red skin...) immediately change to a different type.

Truly is thicker than regular Desitin & works very well
What is there to really review about Desitin? Alot with this product. My Grandson has very sensitive skin, & regardless of endless amounts of diaper changes, a rash unfortunatly always occurs.Regular strength Destin works well, but I've learned that MAXIMUM strength does the trick much faster & works well on sensitive skin. It's very thick,so you don't have to apply much, making it last longer.I'd reccomend over any other diaper cream on the market, & believe me, I've bought alot

Reliable Product Works for Adults Too, Box Came in Bad Shape
I was already familiar with the product and know that it works. For us the use is rashes that come when doing heavy walking in heat or spending time at beach. This applies to children and adults, so the product has uses beyond just for babies. As for the actually order here, it arrived looking like it had been to war. The box was all crushed up, crinkled etc. This makes no difference to me at all, but could be an issue to someone else.

Great for diaper rash or that awful thigh rub
Ladies, let's be honest in summer we have all had a summer day where we wore a dress and regretted it because our thighs touched a little too much and we got an indian burn. This stuff is great after care to calm the skin and create a barrier. Also, works good on babies and their diaper rash.

A necessity in any household for speedy healing!
Love this stuff for speedy healing of skin problems and sores. We grab it for punctures, cuts, wounds that won't heal, etc. Great gift actually for families. 40% zinc! The other Desitins ( ie creamy) aren't as strong or effective. Oh yes, of course can be used for baby diaper rash.

Three Stars
I give it 3 stars, the smell is really awful! I hope it works opposite to its smell.
