Devir – Holmes, Sherlock & Mycroft, Table Game (bgholmes)

First, this has nothing to do with detection: it's a set collection game. However, it's a very nice two player game that takes about half an hour, full of decisions and seems to have plenty of variety. We need to play more to confirm the balance of luck and skill but one expects a significant luck factor is a short card game. This one seems to work quite well. There is a clever meeple placement mechanism that keeps the challenges fresh. I lOVE THIS GAME!

Good game, horrible theme.Theme seems like an afterthought. Other than playing the three main character cards like Dr Watson you totally forget that it is supposed to be a Sherlock game. The theme has absolutely nothing to do with the game, and the 'back story' is useless.This is just a set collecting game. Plain and simple. If you have the most bullet clue cards worth 6 pts, you get 6pts minus 1 for each card the other player has, or +3 if they have none.Other than the theme integration being absolutely horrible, the game really is good. I bring it to most game nights for a good easy to learn game for 2. It is easy to learn, play time is right around 30 minutes, normally a bit less, and having the worker placement mechanism with the set collection makes it more enjoyable.Another down side to the game is you NEED THE RULE BOOK at all times. Unless you play a lot, you will need to continue to look up what each character card does. Some are easy to figure out, like the one that gives you 5 spy glasses, but some just don't make sense.

Very fun 2 player game. It's very fast, and easy to learn. Highly recommended. I have about 50 designer board games in my collection, and this is easily in my top 5 games.

Fun little game about resource management and set collection. Has an interesting spin on how points are scored. Very underrated in my opinion this is one of the best two player only games available.

It really is a great game the only thing I will warn people about is the instructions are in Italian so I had to use Google translate to figure out what certain characters do.It's really a tactical set collection game where you send your meeples out to gather tokens or spend tokens to do different actions for example taking 1 or 2 cards from the lineup of 4 cards. At the end of the game scoring is determined by majority say you had 5 9s and your opponent had 4 you would get 5 points you deduct the cards your opponent has away this adds to the tactical thinking in the game reducing the majority can be the difference in a tight game.An excellent 2 player game which is played on the board in 7 days so 7 rounds takes at the most 30 mins to play once both players are used to the different characters and how the game flows. This game I can see going out of print soon aswell so get it quickly while it is great value for under 30 pounds.

Bought this game as a recommendation of '5 board games you have to discover'. The premise of the game have been explained in other reviews. I was skeptical concerning the Italian / Spanish game rules with no English version. I did find a website where you can download the rules - however when I open the box all the game instructions and rules were in English. No stars should be now removed due to negativity concerning the foreign language of the rules, instead the game should play and speak for itself.

Great little 2 player worker placement, set collection game with really nice art and presentation. Need a few more plays and would be nice if they added a few more character cards in future, sometimes you can get a bad shuffle and all the less useful cards come out early or not till the end.Recomended if your looking for a good quick 2 player game.

Instructions do not contain English only Italian or Spanish I cannot tell which.Edit: for those who still want the game, you can easily find videos online that clearly explain the rules and process.

Así pues, el objetivo fundamental del juego es ser capaz de tener más puntos que el rival, bien por haber obtenido más o bien por conseguir que el rival consiga menos.Aún así, el juego es muy entretenido y no está falto de estrategia. Es más, ser un buen estratega y utilizar bien los personajes disponibles es fundamental.Recomiendo este juego sin duda alguna.
