So far as I can tell, this reads DVDs excellently, but as far as I knyow with burning, I have yet to test this. I will update my review, as soon as I test, and have more info for everyone. But as of right now, I would recommend this cd crive.

husbands work laptop does not have dvd drive and he needed one. would have taken a month at least to get a used one through his IT department at work and I said why bother let me look. this is just what he needed. works great and a decent price. I notice it as being a little loud when you first boot it but he doesnt.

Looks great works good and cheap

Only had this thing 15 minutes before it inexplicably restarted the same movie three times. Can't pause for any significant amount of time without having to completely kill and restart the player app. Cord is short, flimsy, and super sensitive to movement during play. Whole unit vibrates like crazy.

Its jut what I needed.

I just received this Drive and am pretty disappointed to find that my Win 10 Pipo X9 won't recognize it under Windows 10 .. the Drive is seeking every couple seconds but the Win10 Says it's Unrecognized.. It than fails an Unrecognized Device again within seconds.. it's as if something is marginal and tho I have a larger than the original 6 amp AC power adapter in use on the PiPo X9, I am hoping that putting a second separate 5VDC power source into the DVD drive might solve it. Any other tips would help..

I really like this. It works perfectly. I use it on my i7 Toshiba.i didn't have to install anything. It was plug and play. I would recommend it.

Good price and does what the advertisement said. Only criticism is that no paperwork to show how to configure with Computer… ..only info on the box to say what make it was etc. For people who are not very techy needs more information.

I wasn't expecting much from this drive as I simply wanted it to read CD's. Sadly I was disappointed. I ordered a USB C but what I got was a USB B with a USB C adapter. The adapter itself offered a poor and shaky connection to the computer and the thin wire doesn't look like it will take much wear before it breaks so would not be suitable for frequent movements. After reading one disc it then "swallowed" the next disc and failed to be recognised by the computer. The disc had to be physically removed with tweezers as there is no other means of ejecting a disc. Advertised as "plug and play" it was more "plug and didn't" so un-usable. This is not a brand new drive but is actually a repackaged Superdrive (not that this detail was in the sellers description). The one I received was over 21 years old and had been "renewed" with a rather fragile silver plastic cover which was already scratched and marked on opening the package. Unfortunately not as described, not of any use, not worth the hassle of purchase and return. Don't buy this.

The superdrive returned the cd but did not return the dvd. The return process and refund has been like pulling teeth without anaesthetic. The seller has asked to provide the same in format multiple times, I am talking about the same information trying to play a long game. Since my complain the product has now been reduce din price, would not bother
