Micro USB to Magnetic Charger Adapter | Android Phones Tablets Laptops

I got three of these so I could keep them one at work, one at home and one in the car. For the most part they have been great. One of them had the silver housing around the electronics actually pull off. This didn't break the functionality, but i have to be careful if pulling the adapter off of the cord. I'm most likely just going to try using crazy glue to reattach it. The other two have not had this problem. My devices do not charge quite as quickly with the adapter as just directly plugging in the cord. If you're actively using the device when it is attached to this adapter, it tends to fall out easily, but that is to be expected since the magnet wont hold as strongly as the teeth on the usb cord. One other thing I've noticed is that when using the adapter on a cord plugged into a PC, the orientation of the adapter is very important. In my own device I've seen that if the LED on the adapter is face up, then Windows 10 will not recognize the device and won't allow any form of data transfer or anything like that and will constantly spam error messages that it doesn't recognize it. It will still charge though like this. If the LED is face down, then the device is recognized and data transfer works perfectly. Depending on the orientation of the usb port on your device, this may be the opposite for you.

Does what it says it does but keep in mind it MAY not help you if you have a broken power port on a device. Tried to use one of these for a tablet that was having difficulty charging and it didn't help, but works great for my other devices that don't have broken power ports.The connection for the adapter that connects to the USB cable could be a little tighter though. The magnets are fairly strong and I have found that I pull out the cable from the adapter before the magnets disconnect if I pull on the cable. Just need to be more conscientious about pulling on the adapter as opposed to the cable.The LED light on the adapter is a bit unnecessary for me but it's not a problem.

So I bought this to utilize with a Moto X Pure. I like the idea, however I have two issues with this adapter.1. The magnet is QUITE strong, to the point of pulling the micro USB adapter out of my phone when I try to unplug it. While a strong magnet is a good thing, pulling the plug out of my phone kinda defeats the purpose of the adapter.2. The second issue is that when connecting the magnet to the adapter, it didn't appear to be universal. Meaning, I'd connect the adapter to the magnet one way, and my phone wouldn't charge. I'd disconnect the adapter, spin it around, connect it, and then the phone would charge. It's like micro USB in the way that you can only plug it into your phone one way, the adapter seems to connect to the magnet only one way... that seems odd.So while I had high hopes to buy more and get rid of this USB conundrum of never plugging the cable in the right way on the first try... I may need to try other options.

So far, very happy with this. Like that it is reversible, and the magnet is strong enough for a heavy, coiled cord, and the phone is hanging vertical in my car, and the cable hasn't disconnected, even with hard turns, etc. Thought it came with two of the cable to magnet adapters, which I wished it did, so I can have one adapter on my home charger, and another on my car cord. Will try to find the adapters. Don't want to buy both pieces, just for only one piece.

1 - Magnet is not strong enough for some cables, if the cable too stiff then the slightest motion will jar the connection loose. 2 - inconsistent product specs, I bought 2 sets and they were marked the same, but the size of both the connectors and plugs were different enough that they are not compatible with the 2nd sett, I need to buy a 3rd and hope it matches one of the two since i need two connectors (Car and Home) 3 - fast charge is not always compatible, with one i only get fast charge in one direction, if i flip the connector it doesn't do fast charge at all.

Bought 2 of these, one for Android tablet, the other for the portable battery pack I normally use to charge the tablet.First thing I noticed is that neither tip would stay attached to the battery pack while the magnet was being attached or detached from the device. The tips did stay put on the tablet. So there is apparently some variation in micro USB ports between manufacturers. But if the cables can do it, why not this thing? I figured I might try a tiny drop of hot melt glue on the battery pack to hold the tip on, but never got around to it.Second problem noticed a few days later... the indicator light on both magnets would not consistently turn on when the charging cable was connected to power. Tied reinserting the USB cable into the magnet a few times and that seemed to work, for a while. Now one of them is dead, and the other is showing ever increasing difficulty getting it's light to shine. Just to make sure I wasn't using faulty cables, I tried several others and got the same results.After putting the tablet on to charge overnight, and finding the battery was totally discharged this morning, I decided enough is enough. They are going back to Amazon.Really like the idea of these magnetic connectors. But this product needs an overhaul.

I love this product! My last two tablets have kicked the bucket because the charger port broke. I use my tablet to read a LOT, so I was constantly plugging/unplugging it to charge. After purchasing a new tablet recently someone recommended using a magnetic charger. I was going to get one that came with a magnetic charging cable, but then I saw this. I am so happy I did. This turns any charger into a magnetic one. I just put the little piece into the charger port, and attached the other part to the charger I already had. Easy. No problems. The magnet doesn't fall off when bumped, and is strong enough to stay on even when using it while charging. The magnet doesn't hold my tablet's weight completely, but why would you need it to do that anyways? I'm actually going to get another one because I want and extra adapter for my other charger. Suffice to say, I'm pleased with this product.
