I purchased this weighted blanket at the recommendation of a friend because I am a very restless sleeper. I no longer sleep with a top sheet because it inevitably ends up wrapped around my head or legs or jammed in personal spaces no one wants to discuss further. We hoped the weight of the blanket would provide a level of comfort to regulate my sleep patterns to a more peaceful level. Unfortunately, I just ended up with 15 pounds of blanket wrapped around random parts of my being, so I returned it. That is not to say that this blanket would not work for someone else who does not fight wild hyenas in his dreams. It is very well made with even distribution of the weighted filling and proper duvet loops. Just not for me.

About a year ago, a good friend of mine suggested i get myself a weighted blanket. He kept telling me it helped him go to sleep faster and that he would wake up feeling amazing the next day. i once got to use his blanket and i was astonished to find that i fell fast asleep in a matter of minutes. Life got busy and i long since forgot about the encounter. Until i found myself in a walmart staring at a childrens version of the blanket. Sadly staff informed me that they were all out of the adult versions. Refusing to give up i hopped on the one story that never fails to please me.I came across this lovely product, the cooling effect of the fabric is the first thing that grabbed my attention; and delivered as advertised. Personally i noticed that i found myself significantly well rested on a day to day basis since the start of usage. If you're looking to enter REM sleep a lot quicker this blanket can most definitely assist you with the process. Fair warning I'd be careful using it for naps; it's likely you'll over sleep. Overall a must have for those that are not claustrophobic lol, and looking to feel fully embraced at night.

I have autism and have been struggling sleeping recently, but this thing calms me down immediately. The weight is enough. Perfect for everyday use!!! You can still shift around, but I used to have one that felt like plastic and the beads were huge, but both of those issues are nowhere near this bad boy.If you need it to be heavier to fully suffocate you, I recommend folding it in half hotdog style. Much better alternative to trying to find a significant other who will lay on top of you and not move at all

Really nice weighted blanket. Soft fabric that feels pleasant, and at least so far the glass beads are well distributed. Feels like a good quality blanket.Make sure you read the reviews before ordering, to get a sense of the sizing. After reading other customers' comments, I realized that the "full size" was going to be too small for my full size bed and went for the queen size. I'm glad I did. The length is longer than it needs to be (it hangs off the end of the bed, which is fine), but the width exactly covers the width of the full-size mattress. (In other words, be aware that the queen-size blanket is quite a bit narrower than a queen-size mattress.) The full-size blanket would have been much too small, I think.

I got this for my grandson to take to college, thinking even independent young men still need a hug from time to time, and I told him to imagine it's a full body hug whenever he needs it. I think he loves it even more than he let on, manly man that he is. My only reservation about this is wondering how in the heck he's going to wash it if he needs to. Hard to hand wash a large heavy blanket in a dorm. So, I advised him to avoid eating pizza while snuggling under it. I'll let you know how that works out. 😁
