Water proof
Great product, water proof, it sealed perfectly. Not easy to apply and does not store well. Use all of it quickly.

Badly damaged delivery
My previous review stands, and I love the product, however, my reorder of the product arrived damaged, and leaking all over. I don't see any way of returning the damaged product because of how badly it is leaking. Very disappointed! Read below for my previous review.I was a little skeptical because of the cheesy TV commercials, but it worked as advertised! It was hard to paint with because it's as thick as honey, but I thinned it a little with mineral spirits, and it worked great. I used it to paint sun-damaged vinyl sections on an advertising gorilla that were leaking air quite badly. Not only did it seal the vinyl, but it also renewed the appearance of the vinyl so it didn't look nasty and faded. This is a great product.

it seems to work
I was hesitant to buy after reading reviews where it arrived damaged. but, I ordered a gallon can, which arrived sealed with tape, in a plastic bag, in a padded box undamaged.now for the review. I bought it to cover leaky seams in a John boat, but not yet I tested it on sealing a air tank that had a few leaks around some welded fittings, as I needed something pourable to coat the inside as I couldn't reach due to the tank bring welded shut. first of all, this stuffs thick, a little thicker than rubber cement. after pouring a little in the tank, I pressurized it and rolled it around to get it there the welds were. after leaving it pressurized overnight, I came to a sealed tank. it dried clear, kinda rubbery like caulking, but no leaks. next will be sealing the seams on the aluminium John boat .

Gasoline
I had a leaky 10mm twin-wall polycarbonate shop roof. The fastening system the vendor supplied wasn't up to the job, so every time it rained I had to set out buckets to keep the drips off my work.I ordered a gallon of flexseal clear liquid, pressure-washed the roof to get it nice and clean and used a 2" Harbor Freight chip brush ($0.69, and stiff bristles) to fill the cracks and voids. That job took about 1/3 gallon, but, the sun had yellowed the poly and I figured that to extend it's life a bit I could use the remainder of the gallon to coat the poly, but it's waaay to thick to roll...so what to do??The obvious answer is to thin it to the consistency of paint so I could roll it, but thin it with what?I tried: acetone, alcohol, and lacquer thinner...and read that mineral spirits didn't work.I called Flex-seal customer service and asked them, but they were closed-mouthed about it.Hmmm...I asked my contractor-neighbor and he suggested gasoline.I poured some FS in a jug and added the gas. Well, it worked, but...it needs a LOT of stirring. To make the job easier I got a scrap piece of 1/4 x 2 trimboard and put a wood screw in it, cut off the end so I could chuck it up in my cordless drill and turned it on - SLOWLY at first. It mixes, but takes time.Once mixed it doesn't separate, so good so far.I coated a piece of scrap poly and let it dry over night. No peeling, it stuck tight, so I rolled the rest of the roof with the remainder.Good so far.

Works as described
I have used Flex Seal many times to seal annoying leaks around roof vents and sky lites. It works as advertised.
