This book is a delightful collection of authentic recipes from a number of countries. Countess Morphy had the thoughtful idea to collaborate with experts on their traditional cuisine. Her choice of representative dishes is outstanding

The (used) book smells musty, as if it has been stored in a damp basement. Did not come with the horrendous cover (just as well).Each chapter/country has its own table of contents and index, and the recipes are not in the standard format. Instead the format is condensed, with ingredients are listed all in one sentence, and the method described in the next paragraph. This allows for more recipes in the space, but will take some getting used to.Nevertheless, I am looking forward to browsing though and trying some recipes, once the book has aired out.
