This is an AAA amazing pair of traditional watermelon tourmaline slices - perfect to show off in earrings. The color is superb with nice bands. The fronts are polished glass smooth and the sides are natural. One slice has a natural blemish at the back (not visible from the front). They are a perfect match, cut from the same stone, and both measure 11.62x11.6x4 mm and weigh a hefty 12.25 carats total and are wonderful and very fine examples of Afghanistan tourmaline! In an effort to showcase as much of the lovely slices as possible, I have set them in a unique way. I have carefully cut a precision groove around the outer edge of the stone which is then wire wrapped with sturdy 26 gauge sterling wire. They hang from solid sterling silver hinged lever backs. The lever backs alone measure 15 mm tall. The overall length of the earrings is about 1.25 inches tall. These truly are such beautiful specimens!!!
