This is one of the hottest movies I have ever seen. Start to finish this is erotic beyond measure....

Not really that entertaining. Riding on the tail coats of another film without the production values or cast.

My review title basically says it all. I was expecting this movie to just be a T & A extravaganza with no actual substance. I was wrong. I guess it could have turned out that way, except for the very good acting by the two leads. They carried the story through to the end; and the end was such a surprise... I'm usually pretty good at figuring out "whodunits" halfway through the movie. This one got me. By the end I had expected one of two people to be the perpetrator, but it was someone completely different. You'll have to watch it to find out who. Great ending to a good, but not incredible, movie

I first saw Jonathon in WELCOME TO WOOP, WOOP, a really funny film that can be purchased through Amazon. Music from South Pacific is heard through out the film. Rod Taylor, ("THE BIRDS") now aged and a senior citizen living in Australia stars in the film too.Jonathon has made a lot of films I had missed. "Looking for Graceland," was very interesting and his acting at the end brought tears to my eyes. He was also in a Vampire movie. His name isn't known on a theater marquee, but there are no agents making up names like Tab Hunter or Rock Hudson today.Buy, "8mm-2" and you won't be disappointed. No review from me. I don't want to ruin the storyline for you. You can become a Jonathon Schaech fan too.

Not a bad movie, but the sub-titles are waaay out of synch. Skip it. Find something else.

Don't recommend this. There are better movies in this genre.

not as good as the first

映画としては退屈だと感じた部分も多かった。割といいなと思ったのが、監督の美女センス。主役の、ティシュ＝ロリ・ヒューイングの容姿が結構気に入った。他にもざくざくと美女がたくさん出てくる。観客の期待に応えるべく、エロチックな部分には一定の努力がみられる。おや？と思ったのが主人公の車が、ボルボのセダン。なぜ？まったく普通過ぎ。華がない。あまり見たことがないセンスなので逆に絵的に気にはなった。驚くような絵は特にないような作品だったが、むしろ楽しめたという感じ。

In this 2005 direct to DVD mystery drama [aka: the Velvet Side of Hell] engaged couple, repressed Tish [Lori Heuring] and sexual fantasist David [Johnathon Schaech), engage in a threesome with a local model named Risa while on holiday. They soon receive an envelope containing pictures of the menage a trois and realise it could ruin their rising careers, so what will they do and can they keep it all secret?Firstly, this has no link to 8mm [Nicolas Cage] other than a shrewd marketing ploy [lose a *] other than that, this is a well produced and filmed production with some good atmosphere. Although there are some full frontal and nude sex scenes from the start, this is not sleazy or out to shock, as the guilt experienced by the couple after their tryst gives this an edge and real morality check which continues throughout. It then settles down and becomes a blackmailer detective hunt with a good twist at the end.The single disc offers play, languages [English, Italian, Spanish, with added subtitles also in Portugese, Dutch and Hindi], scene selection and special features [making of, 6 trailers]. This is an unrated version and starts with an unexplicit sexual dream sequence and swearing from the outset, but there is plenty of bare flesh as they explore the seedy side of town in their quest and parts border on an X rating, but it’s not the outright steamy erotic thriller many suggest. If you can look past the sex and nudity, this is actually quite a good ’dark’ detective thriller which is well acted and convincing for its type –if implausible in parts. An excellent ***** late night ‘adult’ Tv view.

N'ayant aucun rapport avec le premier film avec Nicolas Cage, 8 mm 2 (2005) ressemble un peu au téléfilm érotique du samedi soir, à la différence près qu'ici, on frôle le X dans deux mais très courtes scènes.La réalisation est correcte, mais le rythme assez mou - il ne se passe finalement pas grand-chose - et le côté racoleur et assez vulgaire de l'ensemble ne permettent pas d'accrocher à ce thriller érotique qui se voulait le plus sulfureux jamais fait, mais qui est loin de posséder la classe des films de Brian de Palma ou de certains longs-métrages des années 90. Basic Instinct, au secours !!
