The Explore V2 35 is Shimoda's largest landscape-specific adventure pack. Built for photographers who want to venture into demanding locations but also need to travel globally just to start an adventure. Its size meets U.S. and some international carry-on regulations, so creators can ensure key photographic equipment makes it onboard. The E35 was built to pack Mirrorless and DSLR cameras, even those with a vertical grip, and the pack is stocked with numerous travel smart features ensuring your adventures go as smooth as possible. Lockable zippers, a hidden passport pocket and a luggage pass-through handle compliment the adventure-driven comfort and durability. It’s all packaged in a sleek design bound to satisfy the pickiest of creators. Review: I own several different backpacks from a variety of manufacturers. I purchased this size of pack after reading and watching a variety of in-depth reviews. It was purchased for a week long trip to Rome where I would be carrying a the new medium format Fujifilm GFX 100ii camera and two lenses. It was packed with wide angle fixed focal lens and a zoom lens, travel tripod, filters, straps, iPad, iPhone and a raincoat. What makes this pack better and far more comfortable than most is the frame. For long or all-day use, this is the best pack I’ve ever used and is more than capable of carrying most equipment rigs with comfort and efficiency. The pack is far larger than it seems. Review: Tough decision but I returned it due to its size. I needed a “ small” bag to fit under airline seat and pass requirements to enter formula 1 tracks. The description provided by Shimoda indicated both were met. This pack is so feature laden and protective it’s far larger than rated size indicates. The suspension design is superlative for a photo backpack and I say that from the perspective of someone who has done weeks long backpack expeditions. Cost was not a consideration.

The laptop pocket is too tight for a 14” MacBook Pro. It does fit but it is hard to insert or remove from the pocket either from the back panel or from the top opening. If you need access to the laptop, it’s better to use the front pocket instead. When fully loaded the bag will fit under an airline seat with room to spare for your feet.
