Diadora Lido Soccer Ball

Great little soccer ball to have around. Well constructed with a firm but not hard shell (perfect for those learning the sport). It’s holding up well but we also don’t leave it outside, etc... Would buy again:

I purchased this size 3 soccer ball for my son's first soccer season. He loves the color! It arrived packaged very nicely. It was easy to inflate and he was ready for his first practice!

Great looking ball, good feel. One of the panels with the “Diadora” logo was off. “Diad” is on one panel and “dora” on another at a different direction so they do not line up. Also, after 6 weeks of use by a 7 year old, one of the seams let loose and the interior of the ball is sticking out through the seam. May be a defect, but return period ended already.

I purchased this as a gift for my 9yr old nephew. The idea was to get him a durable ball that he and his friends could kick around, regardless of the surface. This laminated ball was just the thing I was looking for. It's thick enough where, after 4mos of use, it is barely scuffed up and none of the stitching has started to wear through.The Magnus effect on this ball isn't that great. Bending it takes more effort than it should, no matter what type of kicking style you use. I spent over an hour, using this ball, trying to teach my nephew how to bend a long ball, only to wind up getting out one of my FIFA Approved balls, instead. It also hurts the ankles badly when kicked correctly, due to its' laminate material and size (4). I can only imagine what heading it would feel like. I wouldn't allow my nephew to head this ball while he was using it with me. It doesn't absorb a strike very well and tends to reflect more of it back onto you than higher quality balls.The bottom line is this: If you are trying to teach techniques to a team, then get a better quality ball. This ball is mainly designed to withstand paved surfaces that would quickly wear out any other ball.

This is usually a high quality name brand. However, the ball had a leak in the valve stem. Hopefylly the replacement will be better.

Just be aware that fully inflated this is only slightly larger than a Softball.

When inflated, the ball is not perfectly round...slightly oblong. We've had it for a few months now, and the shape is the same. My daughter doesn't care really at this point, but it's not a high quality product.
