Fantastic overview of a simple language, return to this regularly to check things. Be warned, every sql version is different so this will miss things and not apply to others. General principles are sensible. Most important concept is execution order of sql statements.

quality of print
The contents of the book seem fine, but given the price tag for a paperback, the quality of the print is unacceptable. The book has glue and ink residue, bent pages and a tear on the front page due to glue residue sticking pages together.

Good guide to understand SQL and all its possibilities, mostly when nowadays Python and R hog all data analysis studies. However the scope of this book doesn't go beyond RDBS, so streaming (like KafkaSql) or text engines (like ElasticSearch using sql) are not mentioned.
