I’ve been buying Weruva Kitten Chicken Breast Formula in a Hydrating Puree for my four kittens and their mother for almost 9 months, and it’s one of their absolute favorites. The texture is smooth and easy for the kittens to eat, and the real chicken breast in a hydrating purée feels like such a wholesome and thoughtful meal for them.What stands out most about this product is the quality of the ingredients. It’s made with real chicken breast and doesn’t contain any fillers, artificial flavors, or unnecessary additives. As a pet owner, it’s reassuring to know I’m giving them something both nutritious and delicious. The hydration factor is also a big plus - especially for kittens that sometimes don’t drink as much water as they should.All five of my cats devour this food every time, and it’s helped them grow strong and healthy. While it’s on the pricier side, the clean ingredient list and how much they enjoy it make it worth every penny. If you’re looking for a premium wet food for kittens, this one is a fantastic choice.

I’m a vet who works with a local shelter- I get a ton of tiny medical-foster kittens or bottle babies, and I find this is the best food to wean kittens onto ASAP, and my goal is to always get my babies off KMR as soon as I can so my life becomes much easier and I can sleep at night! The texture of the food is like a thick whipped mousse, so even kittens without teeth at like 2-3 weeks might be willing to chow down on it. It’s got a high water content too so it keeps the diarrhea-having- kittens well hydrated. It’s nice and stinky too so they KNOW it’s food and their instincts kick-in better than with other pates or chunks in gravy styles I’ve used, and the texture and flavor is superior to other “mousse” kitten food products I’ve used, it just works for them. I will continue to repurchase this food for my stinky little tiny foster babies over and over again to save my sanity which allows me to keep taking more in to save! I’m so glad I decided to try this food out of sheer desperation with a litter of tiny kittens, I bought a can of every kitten food I could find in Petsmart to offer a buffet and try to wean them and this was the clear winner and has proven itself over and over again! The food is rich and packed in a heavy-duty can. Excellent for kittens AND cats needing extra nutrition. This particular pack has a variety of textures and flavors. The Chicken Breast Formula (pink can) is a pureé...smooth like squeeze treat and baby food...no chewing needed. The Chicken Formula Au Jus (yellow can) is a mix of the smooth pureé and very thin chicken shreds. The Chicken & Pumpkin Formula (blue can) has a thicker consistency with plenty of gravy, small bits of chicken and pumpkin. All of my cats (from age 6-12 years old) LOVE the Chicken Breast Formula! All our kitties love this, adults and kittens. Small can will feed two kittens- in one morning feeding. No GI issues or stinky smell after eating. Best kitty food!

Both of my picky sick kittens went nuts for this! Well worth knowing they are getting some calories and nutrients in.

**Updating my original review - I left 3 stars the first time, but I've dropped it to 1. Not sure if I got a bad batch or what but after this made my kitten have horrible gas I decided I would try and see if the neighborhood stray would like it - I mixed it with hot water...he wouldn't even touch it. Didn't eat it..it sat outside and I tossed it. Red flags when stray animals won't even touch food. Steer clear of it. So far Orijen is much better and no gas from any of my cats.I thought this would be good to try based on ingredients and reviewsHowever it gave my kitten severe and I mean severe gas...he smelled up the whole house. Couldn't even have company over. He'd be sleeping on top of the couch and the whole house smelled like rotten eggs.The morning I stopped feeding this the gas completely stopped.Maybe it'll work for your kitten - they're all different but it didn't work for mine.Other than that cans arrived perfectly shipped and in tact no issues there...just not right for mine. I wish I could return it and use that $ to continue looking for a kitten food that works for him.
