Works well, *with the right cameras*
Works well. Everyone complaining that it's not bright enough, check the spectral response of the cameras you're using. Not all cameras are as sensitive at 940nm, so it might appear less bright. No, it's not a floodlight illuminating out to 100m, but it's certainly capable of proving suitable illumination (with the right camera) to see what's going on in a room or small garden, without spoiling your night-vision if you're out stargazing

Does what it says on the tin
It works well. Is indeed completely invisible to the human eye even when looking directly at the LEDs (you can check they are working with your phone camera which can dimly ‘see’ them). My night vision cam can see the illumination of the 940nm IR light, but bear in mind the reduced sensitivity of the camera to that light frequency, ok for close range illumination.

Useless for outside illumination
Bought this as a project to increase the range of an outside security camera. The camera has only 4 leds but lights quite a good area. This unit has 27 leds, but is only as good as a very small torch in comparison. Up to 30 metres range (as stated) is complete nonsense, 3 metres is more like it. Only any use for illuminating a small area.
