Hundred Masterpieces : Mohammedan and Oriental: Victoria and Albert Museum

This compact, mainly pictorial book reproduces in black and white a lot of work from the V&A Islamic collection, now held in the Jameel Room of the museum. Some of the pieces in this book have not seen the light of day for quite a few years, which is a bonus, considering that the V&A has only recently published a -very expensive- coffee-table sized compendium of Islamic art in its possession, so you may find this book more affordable and easy to take with you on your visit to the museum.
