I am very hard of hearing. I have an audiologist fitted hearing aid. I was not happy with the hearing aid because of various issues. Most of all is the costs. $5,000 for hearing aid that does not work well is not comforting. Secondly audiologists are like used car salesman. They just want to sell me more and more expensive hearing aids. So I tried this product because of the features. I really like it. For $150 I can buy a lot of these instead of one set of $5,000 hearing aid. The volume adjustment on this device is way louder and better than my hearing aid. I can hear better. The remote microphone works extremely well when hooked up to my iPhone. It works wonderfully when plugged into the audio output of the TV. I can switch between the TV sound and the ambient sound by one click of the button. Yes it does amplify the high frequency sound. That's what sound amplifier does including the hearing aid. The real beauty of this device is in a restaurant. A typical hearing aid has not provision to cut down the ambient noise. So in a restaurant I cannot hear the person's conversation across the table. However with this device I can put the remove microphone anywhere on the table so I can hear the specific conversation. If necessary the remote microphone can be move around from person to person also.There are a couple of issues but none that are too bad. The micro phone on the neck unit is off to the left side so I have to be conscious to position that closer to the person speaking. That is when I am not using the remote microphone. The neck unit can get noisy when rubbing against clothing.I just wish there the software will allow the user to adjust their own frequency to amplify. I have been looking for other units but none appear as good as this one so far.You cannot go wrong for $150.

Ordered for my 93 year old Mom who lost some hearing after a stroke. They are helping her talk to her family members on the phone! Still challenging but at least she is able to tell her kids she loves them and hear them on the other end of the phone. It’s a gift to our family to be able to talk to Mom again.

The headset works very well with the transmitter. It is great to watch TV. I do not like using it with out the little transmitter.Over all very satisfied for my purposes.

This product is hard to understand how it works. I've read the instructions several times and put them on my mother's ears. However, we both did not get it! It seems like it amplified her voice only and not the person talking to her. She still could not hear me, but her voice was loud and clear to her and I was not getting any loud conversation between us. I don't understand what the little box is for except to put it near the tv so it is amplified for her to hear? Can someone explain better than the video or I'll have to request a return. The price is too much to waste and not be useful to help my mother hear better.
