Lawn Mower vs Phone Case
Would give this 10 stars, if I could. I have used this case for 3 years and my phone has survived everything from having a fire cracker blown up on top of it to getting caught in a pulley on my lawn mower. The cases didn't survive, of course, but even after getting caught in the pulley and throwing the belt on the mower my phone has one small scratch and a bit of chipped paint. If God made you friendly instead of careful, I would recommend this case!

Works GREAT for Me
This is my second one of these in 3 years. That's how much I like it, but the first one has lasted all of those 3 years. The front of it did get fairly scratched up---more than I thought it should, but that happens. I replaced it because one of the rubber tab buttons over the power button tore away, making it hard to depress that button, and the pull tab at the bottom, covering the charging port, was tearing up. I have dropped the phone several times where it has landed on an edge or a corner, and I felt like the cushioning was what saved it. Obviously, I'm happy with it.

Dad proof
I buy one of these at least once a year for my Dad. He is a walking EMP for machines and this seems to work. If your old person can break their phone physically in this, get them to enlist or hit the gym. They've got potential. Oh the case is nice too. Dont let the old person take it off for "cleaning" they will dust and ruin the screen protector thinking tissues are the same as a micro fiber cloth.

I'm on the fence.
So as my title says I'm on the fence. I guess I'll probably use it for a couple of days just to see how I like it and if I can deal with the issues that I'm seeing and if not I'll return it.So first off, I saw other reviews stating the fingerprint sensor didn't work and they had trouble typing through the screen. I have not had those troubles my fingerprint sensor works just fine you have to re-register your fingerprint and before you do ensure you use a squeegee or something to really squeegee the sticky spot that goes over the fingerprint down well. As well, it's good to register your fingerprint each fingerprint you use two separate times, I do it while I'm holding the phone and while the phone is on the table. There's also an option to turn the touch sensitivity on the screen up, it was a little Hit or Miss before I did this but after I did this I'm having absolutely no issues. The case is kind of a butthead to put together. Everything fits in nice and tight and it's a very tight latch as you're pushing the two pieces together which is obviously a good thing. It means it will secure your phone and protect it in a drop as well, it will be nice and waterproof and dust proof. The S-Pen and the charging port are both covered by a piece that opens on either side and is attached to the phone in the middle of the piece. The first time I pulled it out I accidentally pulled the whole thing out though I tugged harder than I should have. You can replace this by taking the back of the phone case off and sliding it back into the little slot. This is a fairly tight fit and I'm sure over time it'll work itself a little looser but again this could be bad or good depending who you ask. If you're very hard on your phone's and work in Dusty wet environments is probably a stellar feature. If you primarily wirelessly charge and rarely ever use the charging port, probably an excellent future. Speaking of the wireless charging works just fine. If you use your s pen a lot, you may dislike it because it is covered though you can remove the whole piece to where the charging port and that S-Pen cover is exposed at all times. It definitely adds width to the phone, and is probably about half of an inch thick.Be back seems to be made of a thicker clear plastic than the front, and where the camera is there is a foam pad.The case did come with these three little circles which I imagine are supposed to go over the camera lens, but I actually had some camera lens covers for it that went over all of the camera lens. If I decide to keep the phone I will probably cut away some of the foam pad around the camera lens. As I have it right now it kind of bulges the plastic surrounding the camera out. This does not seem to affect camera quality, I'm not getting any dirty lens notifications, the picture seems to be just fine.Overall the case feels good in your hand, it feels sturdy and it comes with a small lanyard which if you are clumsy and tend to drop your phone out of your hand a lot or like to have your phone in your hand very often, you may want to utilize. It's just a small little lanyard like what you might have found on the old digital cameras. Stick your hand through it before you grab the phone and if you drop it your arm will catch it.the drop protection seems like it would be very secure. The edges extend well above the screen and back of the phone on the top bottom and both sides. With some cases this can affect edge functionality so if you use the edge some of these types of cases tend to be a pain in the butt, fortunately this has not given me that issue whatsoever. Also on a lot of these types of cases these swipe gestures functions can be hindered. I use swipe gestures and can hardly even function the phone without them as I found out when I first unboxed the phone, so I was worried about that as I was putting the case together. I have had to replace or return previous cases for that exact reason. Previously all I really ever would use is OtterBox because everything else was extremely expensive or would hinder this part of my phone. So far I've had no trouble with it. It took me kind of a second to get to know where I had to swipe as it did change a little bit but it did not block any of the spots for the swipe gestures enough to cause a problem. I can still navigate apps I can still bring up the running app screen, forward and back still works no problem. As does the one-handed mode, Samsung pay, and home. The phone is nearly entirely enclosed and there's a kind of gasket that runs around the entire thing that essentially creates an air and watertight seal on the phone with the exception of the vent and the speaker. Over those are these little screens that look to be made of a micro mesh. This may stop water and dust from getting in but it also will hinder your sound a little bit. The overall volume of the phone on full blast has reduced a little bit as well when you are listening to something on just the phone, you can feel the back plastic vibrate. I actually typically use a Bluetooth set of headphones, so it's not really a big deal, but if you often use your phone for its own volume you may not enjoy this. I do still fairly often listen to my phone with my phone being the speaker, and I also use it on my TV for private listening so I can listen to it and watch TV without bothering my son sleeping or something along those lines. So I have not quite decided if it's going to be a problem for me or not. But it is definitely noticeable and I think what is happening is the vibration of that back plastic kind of essentially dampens the sound by maybe interfering sound waves. It does sound a little bit more tinny than normal, but we will see.Overall my impressions of the case or that it will do a good job protecting. Unless you were to drop it directly on the screen or the back which in any case that's going to be an issue. You cannot utilize other screen protectors with this phone case. The phone case has its own screen protector and it is built in so essentially once the screen protector is scratched up, you will either have to replace it or remove the screen protector from the phone entirely and put in your own. Now this is a possibility from the just looking at the case, though I don't know how securely it is glued in.Overall I think the phone case is a good value will protect the phone and is of a good price. I feel confident that this will protect my phone at least on the edge drops as well as the OtterBox will. I do worry about it being dropped on the back and hitting something, but there's a 50/50 chance it hits the back where the screen and as I said no screen protector is really going to protect from drops like that.I think all in all I have a feeling I will keep it and will be able to deal with some of the minor annoyances that the phone case provides, but we will have to see.Update product continued to have problems. Product returned. Someone else may like it, but I couldntReplaced with an OtterBox clone from here on Amazon.

Accident prone? BUY THIS ONE!
I originally purchased this case while working in pastry. (Lots of flour that I didn't need my phone to endure)I've now repurchased this case annually (when it's all scratched up) for the past 3 years and IT. IS. WORTH. IT.Its ME PROOF. I've dropped my phone countless times in this case. On asphalt while riding an escooter, out of my tiny pockets while working, in the tub, off the counter when it was propped up and my cat decided to swat it, in a pile of flour, you name it.My phone doesn't have a scratch on it and works the same it did the day it was purchased. And it comes with a little arm strap that you can attach charms to.Now for the cons I've found over the years.-You must have the bottom charging thing open for optimal music listening. (And also if someone says they can't hear you well)-Dont lose the fingerprint reader replacements or you will be a pro like me in taking your phone in and out of your case for required biometric things on your phone.Overall about $20/year has been a great bargain in getting as much of my money back as possible when I do finally decide to upgrade.Highly Recommend!

I should have known better!
This is the 3rd one of these cases I have purchased. The 1st two were for my wife and my phones. The protection is top notch without a doubt. I can't count the times I've dropped my phone without any damage. My fingerprint reader always worked well until I had to open the case to clean some dust particles that had somehow gotten in. I used one of the extra adhesive fingerprint reader pads, but never could get it to read correctly after multiple attempts. My wife's phone never did read correctly. She eventually replaced hers with another brand. I used mine until the screen finally had lots of scratches. Due to the protection they offer, I decided to try another and hope to go awhile before the fingerprint reader would cause issues. The install went perfectly, but unfortunately the fingerprint reader is a fail. It might read 2 or 3 times in a row, and then fail 2 or 3 or times in a row. It makes no sense, and is very frustrating and inconvenient. So, if you don't use your fingerprint reader, you'll love the protection it offers. Otherwise, find another case.
