QWORK® Mole Trap, Gopher Trap Mechanical Eliminator with Quick Scissors, Black

Works well in lawns and was successful on first day for that pest. Not quite as successful in veg patches and needs persistence by trying different placements. If you find a run that seems to be in regular use by the unwanted visitor then tread this in to position. On soft ground (eg the veg patch) I find I have to lift the frame slightly whilst trying to set it, to get it to hold in the primed mode otherwise it triggers as soon as I take my foot off. As with all traps make sure you understand where not to put your fingers, but this is one of the easier devices I've used and had the most success.

Unfortunately this product triggers all the time, it takes several attempts to set and you may manage to get a few steps away and it goes off. You don't know unless you try- dissapointed!!!!!!

Brilliant piece of kit! I researched different traps and was set on buying a 'Wire tek mole trap' made in the USA. However delivery on Amazon was about 3 weeks and cost over £100.00 for 2...... I couldn't wait 3 weeks as my premium lawn was getting destroyed by the day. I decided to give the QWORK ago as it looked similar, was easy to set, and was much cheaper. Although it took 3 attempts to lock it in place when I first tried to set it up, it was set. I left it for a day without it being triggered. The next morning the trap had sprung and the biggest mole I'd ever seen was caught. I would recommend this trap as the best £22.00 I've spent in years. Worked like a dream!

Great idea but difficult to set it properly. I was using it in a field so the grass was not garden flat. It made setting it very tricky. First you need to accurately determine where the runs are and then precisely place it so it bridges a tunnel. Very difficult to do in a field. You then have to set it. This not only requires some force but also a level of finesse as it naturally wants to set at an angle where the scissors are not pointing downwards but at an angle and therefore miss the tunnel. It is very difficult to set so that it does not immediately go off and take your fingers with it. You can use your foot, but it’s very hard to get it level. We have a mole infested field with about 80+ mole hills. I set it in about 20 locations over about 30 days and didn’t catch a single mole. I’ve given this 3* as I strongly suspect you would have better results on flat grass, but it would still be difficult to set. It’s a gamble!

I bought this the same time as I purchased 6 small traps. The 6 small traps cost the same as this 1 trap. I have never caught a single mole with this but caught 3 moles in a week with the small traps. Waste of money.

It’s well built with quality materials but… Using on wet earth it is too difficult to set, as you press down on the lever using your foot it gets bogged down before it sets, the trigger disc is then sunk deep into the mole run, consequently it never worked. I guess it could work on hard ground such as clay maybe

So this took a few attempts to find an active run and set the trap effectively but today we did catch a mole I found it sturdy and easy to set. We bought some if the ones with pins and they are a right faff to set.

If you have moles in your garden then please don't buy cheap traps - they are fiddly to setup, require digging and a certain knowledge of where/how to place them. This product is simply the easiest and by far the most effective trap that I have purchased (and I have had a few!) I had been trying to catch our mole for weeks without any success, but I couldn't believe that this trap stopped our mole in its tracks in just 5hours! Easy to setup with just a foot press, no digging and totally effective. This is the one to buy and delivered in 24hrs, outstanding product and fast delivery!

I own 8 of these traps, and I love them. We are infested with moles, and I use milky spore and repellants of ALL kinds, but these traps are the most effective. I do not have the hand strength to safely set other types of traps, but setting these by stepping on them is a breeze! I spent a fortune with commercial companies and had no fewer moles, but buying these traps is WAY more economical. I have trapped 37 moles on an acre property in a year and a half. I am finally seeing a smaller invasion from surrounding properties. They are relatively easy to remove the trapped mole, and a cinch to clean. I HIGHLY recommend these traps!

Product had good reviews, that is why I purchased it but we haven't caught one mole. It hasn't even went off yet. I've moved several times and still nothing.

LOVE THIS TRAP stepped on tunnels. came back out next day saw what tunnel mole reopened. stepped one tunnel in one spot. poked trap point in the middle of the tunnel. stepped on top of trap carefully to keep trap straight up and down. that way trigger was right in the middle of the stomped down tunnel. came out next morning caught the mole!! repeated before work later that same evening caught another mole!! so far dont see more but neighbors have so will be expecting more. i have used loop trap and spike trap. both of those hard to set and would miss the mole many times no matter how careful i was. and i was always afraid id catch my finers setting the others. this trap super easy to set. little hard to open to remove mole but after you figure it out not to bad so glad i bought this trap!!!

Didn't really work for me. Tried installing in several locations on my property in new runs and caught nothing. They are easy to install. Follow installation instructions. Caught three moles using a gopher trap.
