I first want to say that these are really high-quality and sturdy for the money. I ordered the set, wanting to keep the darker wood handled pick. But I got two of the lighter brown. I don’t feel like going through the hassle of sending them back, so I’m going to give four stars for screwing up my order. But the pick itself gets five stars. Other than that I am very pleased with the quality. Steel definitely runs all the way through the handle, very durable. This will survive a whole lot more than just picking on ice.

The pick itself is really short and nearly useless. No sooner does the pick go into the ice and edge of your hand hits it, too. It's a very nice looking device with it's screw on cap and all, but it will likely end up in the trash or donated before too long.

It really works. It's sharp point breaks the ice apart instantly. I wish that I had paid attention to the specs as I would have liked a longer pick to get down into my deep ice well. These icepicks however are well done and the fit and finish is fantastic. I really like the way that it screws into the holder. I know that my grandson will not accidentally poke himself. Well done.

These are just beautiful to look at and use. Two gorgeous woods, I planned to give one away as a gift but it is hard to choose which one I like best. Yes, it works great as an ice pick. Very sturdy, safe since the tip screws into its sheath. Love it.

It is as advertised.

These are hard to find in stores. I was thrilled to find this set of 2 for such a great price on Amazon. We needed one for our boat and I kept one at home. They work great and the sheath keeps the pick clean and protected.

Thank goodness this was an inexpensive purchase because it went right in the trash. There was definitely some kind of manufacturing defect because the product didn't even open up. I seriously mean there was NO WAY to even unscrew this piece of wood that was delivered, I never got to see the ice pick itself.......Word to the wise, do not waste your money on this product.

These are totally awesome, built soo well...can be used for a variety of things, protection, cleaning tight areas, weed pulling, breaking ice of course...you will not be disappointed.
