The Summer Season : Williams, Julia: desertcart.in: Books Review: This is a great summer read covering so many people's lives well written that builds as it progresses through each person's story...you feel you know where it's going , and while obvious there's lots of twists and turns along the way...satisfyingly getting to the obvious conclusion leaving the reader with a lovely warm feeling....I'd recommend this book without hesitation ... Review: I loved this book from the very start, especially the character Kezzie. I wasn't so sure of Joel but warmed to him as the book went along. I loved the way that the past and the history linked to the house and gardens, was interspersed with the present story of the book. It was a nice, light hearted, easy read. All the talk of gardening and flowers gave it a very summery feel.

This book was a bit of a uphill job. It too me a while to get into it. All in all it was a different story from some of her other books. I did finish it in the end.

A wonderful book that I couldn't put down. At a time when we are looking back on the Herod from WW1 this book couldn't have been read at a more appropriate time. I loved how the book moved from now to back then and it worked so well. I fell in love with Lilly and understood her totally having had miscarriages and a still born child myself. Edward was wonderful and did all he could to help. Can't wait to read another of Julia's books as I loved her descriptive words and how easy the book was to read

Get the sample and see if you like the style of writing. I really did as the plot ensures you pay attention but this has not suited everyone. For me, the plot jumping around added to each new chapter and all becomes clear at the end of the book. I think I got this when it was around £1, definitely worth that. In fact, having read it, I probably would pay more.
