These worked really well in conjunction with the M10 trolley casters
These worked really well when I used them in conjunction with M10 casters to refurb my butchers trolley. No-one had the M10 drill bit of course so I chanced using the bit a size bigger then -- what do you know, had to wrap a small piece of paper towel around them, tapped them in and screwed in the casters. Solid as a rock! The trolley is pretty weighty which probably helps but it's running smoothly. All good.

Exactly as described
Helped me fix a dining chair whose supplied fixings were of poor quality and had broken apart over time. These were a perfect replacement and being much stronger, look as if they will outlast the rest of the chair.

Do the job, but not indestructable.
I use a lot of threaded inserts in my woodworking projects and these are what I call the basic model. Simple design, lightweight and fasten in with a hex key / driver head. They cut in very well, and screw in place firmly. The only criticism I could offer is that the material is rather pliable under excess pressure. I have some other inserts with a much more robust material. But for the price and quantity you can't grumble too much. But just take it steady when screwing them into a hole, as it can be easy to over tighten and snap them... Would buy again, 100%.

Good stuff
These are great. Drill for M6 ones, they need an 8mm drill bit and a 6mm allen key. Drill 8mm hole to 10/11mm, use allen key to screw it in. Fits nicely flush on softer woods.

They’re great.
Did a great job on a spatter beech bench.

Working well for my application
I bought these for a subwoofer enclosure, I put a dab of locktite on each before driving them into the wood, " Small pilot hole before hand " Working well and no issues yet. Tad expensive for what they are. Easy to shave down with some sandpaper to if they're sitting a bit proud.

Not bad for the price
Lacking a bit of quality, one of the bits got a bit mangled when screwing in, so make sure you hav at least one spare

Snug & Secure Fit
I was making a garden footstool, with a footrest that tilts backwards and forwards (for exercising the hamstrings and feet while you sit in the garden. The tilting mechanism involves four skateboard bearings on the side of the footrest, located in a slot I made in each of the sides. I used M6 bolts (6mm diameter) in the side of the 19mm-thick plywood footrest to mount the bearings on but I wanted a more secure fixing than just creating a thread in the wood and screwing the bolts in. So I bought these 25mm-long threaded inserts to take the 6mm bolts. They need a hole of around 8mm diameter to screw the threaded inserts in. My thought is that they are less likely to break through the top of the footrest, because the bolts and inserts are much more secure. I'm making another of these and may make slight changes but the inserts are there to stay. Highly recommended.
