Buy 2!
I have this tiny name brand speaker that I love for audio books. So much so that I wanted to get a 2nd one and sometimes use them paired for music, too! But my name brand speaker doesn't work in pairs, so I did my homework and got 2 of these.Sound: Good but nothing spectacular. Using one for an audio book is perfect and exactly what I was looking for. Using one for music is a little disappointing. Using two paired together for music sounds acceptable, but the best thing is putting them far apart, which can't be done with a boom box and makes them sound better overall than my more powerful boom boxes. It's something I hadn't thought about before buying them.Overall the sound is really clean even if it's a little small. I'd rather have less clean sound than something really loud but distorted.Charging: This thing has a weird charging circuit. I was surprised that it has a USB-C connector, which should give it super fast charging but doesn't. I've seen the charge indicator go up in Windows while playing music plugged in. Part of what makes it weird is that it only reports its charge level in 10% increments. So I saw it go from 70% to 80% looking at it in Windows while playing music, but after a couple hours it didn't go to 90, so it's hard to say for sure that it's even charging while playing.Run Time: The run time is excellent and more than makes up for any minor charging issues.Construction: The construction is excellent. It's built like a tank. It's a little bulky which is probably why the sound seems a little underpowered. One thing to note though is that I took off the bracket on one of my units, and it looked like the screw holes went all the way into the case and possibly would make it not waterproof. So I put it back on because it's not a big deal.User Interface / Controls: Above average. The control buttons have a good feel and contribute to the feeling of durability. The user interface is a little awkward at first with pairing more than one and the dual volume / track buttons, but it's easy to use once you know how it works.Bluetooth: It connects reasonably fast and the range is excellent.Passive Radiator: It's not as bad as some of the reviews made it out to be, but it doesn't seem to add as much bass as something that big should add. Almost like it's not moving air correctly or something. The bass doesn't sound much bigger than the much smaller speaker in my photo when playing music. It's still a useful feature and for whatever reason the voices of the narrators on my audio books sound much fuller than the smaller speaker. So it depends on the content.Card Reader: Haven't tried it and don't intend to, but it's intriguing to think about filling a card full of audio books converted to MP3 and have it play books for 20 hours without needing another device. But the thing is I'll always have a device so I don't know how useful it is. To play music standalone I'd probably want a tiny display. Conclusions: This setup is exactly what I was looking for: A compact speaker where I can just use one for audio books most of the time, but also add a 2nd one for music and fill in for a boom box. 2 of these sound as good as a 40W boom box when I put them about 10 feet apart!Ideally I wish these were a little smaller or sounded a little bigger, but the sturdy construction and longer battery life make up for being a little bulky. These are great little speakers and if they keep improving the design then I will keep buying this brand.

BECAREFUL OF THE EXPOSED SPEAKER ON THE BACK SIDE!
Overall these 360° sound, IPX7 Tronsmart Element Groove (TEG) speakers are the bomb! Since these beauties have TWS (True Wireless Sound) pairing I immediately purchased two for a gift & two more for myself. The pairing is very easy to not only pair with your SENDING bluetooth device, but also with each other, because the Bluetooth 5.0 driver pairs lightning fast & allows for a longer range over the Bluetooth 4.x driver. I have the TEG Bluetooth Speakers paired to my Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus & my Samsung Galaxy Tablet Tab A with the 8.4" screen. I have noticed that with these speakers there is an INDEPENDENT VOLUME CONTROL between the speakers & my Samsung devices. Which is nice so that I can control the speaker's maximum volume & I can also control the output devices' (in this case my Samsung Galaxy devices) volume control so that there is no high gain distortion or volume distortion upon playing my music or other audio output to the TEG speaker(s).To play my audio music (whether it is lossless AAC, MP3, OGG, etc.) on my Android devices. I use PowerAmp (which I have had for years since I first owned my first Droid smartphone) because it allows for DVC (Direct Volume Control) usage between my Bluetooth, wireless & wired audio output connections. This way I get the truest & most crisp sound output that you can get from any speaker & especially for the size of these speakers (dimensions: 4.05" x 2.94" x 4.05")!Another reason why I chose these speakers was for the MicroSD card input so that if I want to go literally "off the grid" I can throw music on to my MicroSD card & I have literally a self-contained "music box" of music that can be played with the TEG's 3.7v/2500mAh battery for a straight 24-hours worth of music. If I want to "play it again", all I need is 2.5 hours of charge time. Longer if you decide to keep the music going for over 24 hours if you kept the speakers plugged into a 5v/1A power supply. Since (I'm guessing) that the TEG's 2500mAh battery charges by a separate charging circuit & the TEG's speaker's 10W amplifier circuit is powered separately by the internal battery, that is why there is no hum or hiss at louder volume settings while charging & listening to music from the TEG.CONS:Tronsmart SHOULD have provided a metal grid/gate on the BACKSIDE of this IPX7 speaker! Especially since they are advertising that this is a "beach-ready, pool-side-ready, water-ready" speaker system! The inner speaker that provides some of the bass sounds, IMHO, is NOT ADEQUATELY COVERED for the outdoor "unknowns" like sharp objects that might come into contact with the speaker & accidentally puncture the TEG. It may never happen, but the situation is there because there is no protection for that back speaker. Also, having the TEG have a built-in automated timeout power-off setting is absolutely great for saving the battery, but I felt that this feature was to short. Especially when you have to re-pair both speakers (if yoy have two of them). Finally, while it's great that the TEG is one of the few marketed SMALLER speakers on Amazon that has a MicroSD card MP3 Player, you need to keep a pair of tweezers handy in order to remove that MicroSD card because it is reset behind a rubberized plug that helps keep this speaker at its IPX7 rating level. Once the MicroSD card is inserted & the rubber plug is put back into its place, that plug looks like its resting on the end of the card itself.Overall this speaker gets my 5-Star rating, even with my CONS I mentioned. I am still looking for a case to protect the backside of the TEG speaker for better "mindless" portability purposes. (That way I do not have to worry quite so much when throwing a pair of these in my bag or in my car.)UPDATE:: 18-SEPT-21:I had a chance to play around with the TEG speaker's "Music Reader" today & found out that it could accep a MSDXC card with out an issue (not to mention the only MicroSD card I had was a 256GB Samsung Evo Select [ https://amzn.to/3Et3Eed ] test card. Upon trying to insert the SDXC card into the "Music Reader" I found out that it has to be inserted LABEL-SIDE DOWN & the drive mechanism has a spring loaded click-lock feature that helps hold the card firmly to the motherboard of the TEG speaker. According to the Owner's Manual it will also work with TF cards as well (most likely also label-side down). Obviously, it plays MP3s, just fine. The "Music Reader" also handles reading through (or just ignoring) directories & folders. Since I copied the whole music folder with music from my Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus onto the Samsung Evo Select MSD card (using an OTG 2 in 1 USB C to USB [3.0] Female with 60W PD Charging Port Adapter [ https://amzn.to/2XqRHEQ ] ), the formatting of the MSD was FAT32. I suppose it could MAYBE handle NTFS formatting, but I highly doubt it since these TEGs were made in China & to be more "universal" my guess is it won't. As far as other music formats are concerned: AAC, FLAC/ALAC, WMA, OGG, WAV, CDA (CD-audio), MPA, MPB, etc., I do not know, but I suspect besides OGG & FLAC/ALC, it MIGHT play those other popular formats fine, I am guessing of course.Next, I tried pairing both of my TEG speakers together using the built-in TWS (True Wireless Sound) Mode while playing the MSDXC card on one of them, to no avail, no matter what I tried to do they would not pair together (which is unfortunate) to make a nice OTG TWS 20W "mini stereo system". We just have to settle for the all-inclusive 10W OTG music system. I did even try to use the 3.5mm to connect my other TEG, on a whim, FWIW, also a no go! :)Hope this helps...Cheers!

inexpensive, great sound, wireless stereo with 2
I have tested a lot of speakers. Even got a dual channel bluetooth transmitter so I could run two mono speakers completely wireless from a TV or phones music. This is the only reasonably priced speaker (paid about $16 each on prime day) that has built in bluetooth interconnectivity. Two speakers (OK now im up to $32) Will connect to each other via internal bluetooth, then will connect to whatever device is powering them. So I can take them on vacation, bluetooth connect the pair to the TV in the room and I have stereo audio of fairly good quality anywhere! They are inexpensive, sound great, and the built in interconnectivity make them the best thing going at the price.

Great sound quality!!
I needed a new lil speaker for listening to music in my bathroom while getting ready for work and stuff. Old one had good bass but got fuzzy if volume was up high and battery would die in 10 minutes. This one has a long battery life and really good sound quality that's clear at high volume. Happy with my purchase and would totally recommend.

Love the bass on this Bluetooth.
I was very surprised by this little Bluetooth it is well built and feels heavy despite it's size. And the bass and highs are excellent. I don't take a shower without it. It's very easy to operate. I ordered another one for my son. Well worth the $.

It’s not loud enough….
I like the fact that it’s waterproof. But it’s too low I take it in the shower and I still can’t hear it. I may have to get something different, I’m not returning it. I’m just gonna get something else.

WELL WORTH THE PRICE
It has many features and the sound quality is great! I also deleted the speaker boost app from my phone, which freed up a lot of space. It's very durable! I've dropped it a few times and it's still in it's original condition and sound quality. I highly recommend this product!
