Great kit for a builder
My 7 year old son was excited about building an flying this plane but lost interest after building the wing. He is the type that is more interested in flying than building. The kit had everything we needed and the instructions were clear. If he had the interest, he could have built it easily. Great kit! I guess I have a plane to finish.

Good kit for beginner
Product is used to introduce the learning, fun and skills development during the build process plus a feeling of accomplishment the first time it flys!

A classic, but in need of an update.
This kit attracted the eye of my son in a catalog, and I thought it would be a good way to introduce him to the art of stick and tissue model building, which I have not practiced for 30 years or so. The kit seems like it is straight from the 1950s or 60s. The end result is an attractive flying model with an old school classic look to it. However there are some pitfalls in the construction, which though easily fixed by an experienced builder, may lead to frustration and heartache for a novice. If you've never built stick and tissue before, I'd recommend finding a simpler kit with laser cut parts.

The kits good! Just take your time building the plane! Should come out good.

Quality has slipped
The balsa sheets have become so thin they've lost all rigidity. The wood for the frame of the fuselage and wings was just thick enough to hold up the tissue paper but not enough to survive a couple of flights. A millimeter or 2 in added thickness couldn't have added that much to the cost or weight and would have made the project worthwhile.

Great way to Learn about flight
Great flyer, I had trouble with the cg and ended up cutting the tail shorter. Added support in wing as shown in photo really makes the wing bomb proof. Very high aspect ratio wing makes it a fast flyer. I converted to rc with parkzone motor and oversky mxl 4 channel reciever. Great toy for half the price of a ready to fly rc plane and if you crash you know how to fix it for free. No waiting for parts!
