Decent extender
This is a simple way to run HDMI through the house. I haven't had any issues with lag or problems with the remote which is great seeing as I am obviously off the grid. For the price I like it and I'll update of the next couple months if anything untoward happens. Until We Meet Again -Off the Grid Ken

It’s been a reliable and high-quality solution for my video needs!
I recently started using the OREI 1x2 HDMI Extender Splitter, and I’m really impressed with how smoothly it works. It effortlessly extends a 4K@60Hz signal over a single CAT6/7 cable up to 400 feet without any noticeable lag or loss in quality. The setup was straightforward, and I love having multiple output options with the loop-out feature. Plus, the IR remote and EDID management make controlling and customizing the display super easy. It’s been a reliable and high-quality solution for my video needs!

Didn’t even last 2 months
Well this device was bought on June 2 and stop working at the beginning of August and off course Amazon said ups is out of 30 days return period and you have to get in contact with sellers well there’s not a contract with the seller or very little only true e-mail and whenever they like to respond to you and the phone number don’t even bother to call I have call at least 30 times but customer services is always no available at this it doesn’t matter what time you call they don’t respond so I finally got a green light true e-mail and they send me the RMA which I had to pay for the return for repairs because they don’t cover that now they the item for at least 6 days now and asking all kinds of silly questions they don’t even confirm the have may tracking number said is being delivered supposedly this device had 1 year warranty but I have been fighting with the and Amazon since the beginning of August and now is August 29 and I am still waiting not good product or customer service very disappointing also with Amazon last representative from Amazon told that Amazon couldn’t do anything about because it was over 30 day like I could predict the future and know this was going to stop working I would not even bother to buy it now I just have to wait and see is was a waste of money or what

Incredibly versatile and clean signal!
Review would not go through with pictures of it installed. This unit is AWESOME. Sends high quality signal via Cat5/6 wherever you want it. I used it for splitting signal from CCTV to two different locations in a lobby and a security booth without issue! Highly recommend!

Work fine, but not HDbaseT - why advertise that if it's not compatible?
This works as described, but I saw all the "HDbaseT" mentions and missed the one small line that says it's not compatible with any other HDbaseT equipment - not even from this manufacturer - except for a few pieces explicitly designed to work with and only with this unit. That makes it useless for my desired use, and a hugely overpriced hdmi over cat5 splitter. It's far cheaper to get two cat5 hdmi extenders and an hdmi splitter to run 4k over cat5. I only go on about this and mark it off so much because it should not be listed with HDbaseT equipment or use the HDbaseT trademark unless it's certified, and it's obvious uncertifiable if it's not interoperable. So this is going to be reviewed as an HDMI extender/splitter, which is all it is. There are a number of these available from many manufacturers, including this one, at well over half the cost of this one. The video quality is good. EDID management is annoying but a necessary component of any splitter, and like most this one uses the edid from the first connected screen on powerup. There are other options and management strategies selectable by tiny switches on the back, so you may be able to find what you need. Note that the "loop out" hdmi port counts as a third port in the splitter and is affected by and affects the EDID settings. It doesn't work reliably with HDCP content. Sometimes the content is displayed on both, but it's not consistent and depends on the signal source, and if the source is a computer then it depends on the operating system and specific application used to play the content. It's such a mess I wouldn't recommend this for HDCP content, which includes game consoles (some drop to 1080p, for instance, if HDCP isn't handled correctly), blu-ray players, most streaming boxes and services (roku, amazon, google, apple tv, netflix, amazon prime, apple video, etc, etc). The transmitter and receivers have audio outputs as a convenience feature, but they don't appear to support anything other than stereo sound, and often you'll need to se your signal source up specifically to handle that for them to work correctly. The audio passes fine over HDMI, though, so connect the soundbar/amplifier/etc to the HDMI or use an HDMI to optical audio splitter to access the various multi speaker configurations and encodings. The transmitter powers the receivers. This is available in cheaper splitter/extenders, but it's not always available so it's worth calling out here. The signal display on the receiving end can't be powered this way though, but it still eliminates one power plug at the end, and allows central power backup and control - energy saving is a little easier this way. This does have one advantage compared to the less expensive splitter/extenders, though, and that is distance. Most will transmit 4k over 150ft, and 1080p past 200ft, but this nearly doubles that distance. If you need 4k four houses away from you then this might be a better choice. Those working in offices, theaters, conference buildings will find this attractive because while it might only be 100 feet between the source and destination, the wiring might hit a closet or two in different directions as the signal is patched between the two locations, and it could easily double the walking distance. That said, those venues will prefer HDbaseT certified equipment, so this probably falls into the niche between prosumer and professionals. I was honestly excited to find what I thought was a good deal on HDbaseT equipment to start my HDbaseT network. This company doesn't belong to the HDbaseT alliance, none of their equipment is certified or compatible, and they shouldn't be using the HDbaseT word trademark, though I don't imagine the alliance is going to put forth much effort to stop them - which is a significant problem for HDbaseT and one of the bigger reasons it's not making good progress into the industry. Everyone's still using SDI in situations where HDbaseT would be perfect. Anyway, this is a definitely do not buy unless you need the high resolution over that distance and don't care that it's not HDbaseT. Even then I'd strongly suggest looking at other technologies like SD or real HDbaseT equipment. At this price point it's not much more to buy the real deal.

Well made, a bit clunky
This is not a user friendly device. It you aren't familiar with hooking these kinds of things up or with electronics in general, then you will likely need more help than the manual will provide you. It's a bit clunky in nature but once you get it working, it works well. The IR plugs are kind of trash so it's a shame they went this route but having direct LOS isn't an issue for me with my set up. It has everything you need otherwise and the feed is crisp, clear and great sound.
