Easy to apply
I like this product as it worked very well, but I should have bought it at my local store for a bit less! I forgot to mention, I made a mess but it was easy to clean.

Oatey is the best for pvc pipe and fittings
Item arrived promptly and in great condition. This is a great product for preventing leaks in pvc pipes, especially the threaded fittings. Oatey brand glue and joint compound is the best you can buy.

Like Elmer's glue for your pipe fittings..
I tried this on a whim.. It worked extremely well! But SUPER MESSY and it stays wet.. maybe forever, like a grease/glue mixture. I prefer Teflon tape for future projects due to how much cleaner it is to use then this product, but I think this “wet” material would definitely create a better seal if you have a leaky fitting you can’t stop with Teflon tape alone.

Good for some Pipe applications was easy to use
I mostly use teflon tape but for some applications Pipe compound is recomended so I bought this. So far no issues easy to use applicator

Quick to apply, not runny has the right viscosity and works. You don’t need alot of force to tighten fittings when compared to teflon tape.

I'm a convert from teflon tape. Tape has always been hit or miss for my skill level in plumbing. I bought a jar of this to help with a 5 gallon tank/pump/tap and shower handle that I've been working on in our camper van. After laying out all my parts, then assembling a month ago with teflon tape, I had misc drip points in my half dozen connections. I disassembled everything, picked the tape off the threads, and reassembled with this stuff. My wife came out exactly at the time I was done, so I felt under pressure ; ) Clicked the pump on, it pressured up, and not a single drip anywhere.
