I have never bothered to write a review before, but this laptop deserves one. I use this laptop for office programs, internet, and occasionally some CAD software. The preinstalled windows 10 pro worked great right out of the box. No messing around with disks and drivers. Startup each time is instant from sleep mode, and super quick from complete shut off. I like the keyboard, touchpad, and touchscreen on this laptop. I also really love with the fingerprint sensor. Who knew how convenient that could be! Laptop also arrived quickly (ordered on Sunday, arrived Wednesday) All in all, this was just a great experience. I am very happy.

I thought my old Windows 7, 4th Generation Icore 5 was a beast, I didn't want to upgrade to Windows 10. Actually my Windows 7 Laptop is still running like a charm and still very fast but this laptop just blows it away! It takes about 3 seconds for the Welcome Screen to appear after touching the Power Button. And with the fingerprint reader, only a second or so more and you are ready to go. Have already done some Video Processing and it just whips right through it! Have even been able to get some of my older Software programs to work. So many features to this Laptop. The Touch Screen, the Backlit Keyboard, Huge Storage Space and so much more. Worth every penny!

I play certain games that require the arrow keys for movement. For some unknown reason HP decided to use "half-keys" for the up down keys. I am a full grown adult with full grown fingers. These half-keys would work fine for a 3 year old with 3 year old fingers. The question is, how many 3 year old infants buy laptop game machines? One might argue that I could have looked at the pictures before I bought this. first problem with that is there is no universe that I can think of that would use this small of a key on a keyboard and certainly not on a gaming keyboard. Second problem is even if you look at the pictures it is extremely difficult to notice this issue. Interestingly enough all picture of this keyboard are at an angle that make the problem unnoticeable. I can only wonder who the idiot is that came up with this and the other idiot that gave it final approval for production.

The HP Envy with the new intel Core i7 10th gen processor is simply a stunningly beautiful laptop with tons of power under the hood. I am not a professional reviewer or influencer, I just love my new laptop. Outstanding value, could not be happier.

The HP 17t - A good, well rounded computer with more than enough power for 'typical' users.Though I'm an AMD guy at heart, The 2.8 Ghz Intel i7 chip does well, and rips through most appsI run regularly.It's proven itself multitasking, running Cyber Director 14 (video editing), Photoshop, even a fewgames... 1TB SSD is wicked fast, and there's little to no lag. We'll see how that goes over time.16GB SDDR4 RAM, and a 4GB VIdeo card makes gaming (except for the most demanding games)quite enjoyable. Bang & Olufsen sound has a little bass, but it's still a laptop, and audio qualityis acceptable. Touch screen works well, and finger print pad works as long as the orientation ofthe finger you're using is consistent.I'd say this laptop does everything quite well, but doesn't 'stand out' in any way, really. I'm verypleased for the performance I'm getting for the price I paid. It 'll do most everything I ask of it,and quick too... My gaming will stay on my tower PC... everything else the HP does just fine.
