CRC Ice-Off Windshield Spray De-Icer, 12 Wt Oz, Pack of 1

This stuff works like a charm. It's easy to use and convenient to keep in anticipation of those cold days when you need to clear your windshield fast! You just spray it on and watch the ice melt. This made a much-appreciated stocking stuffer this year.

This de-icer works great. Spray it on the windows, give it about a minute, brush off the remaining ice residue and off you go! I live in the NE and it works on fairly thick ice (haven't had to test it on REALLY thick ice yet thankfully). I was however, unpleasantly surprised how quickly I went through a can of this product. I did the windows of my small SUV and the can was empty. One use. I just gave a quickly spray on each window - I didn't soak the window with product. I would've thought that a can would get me through half the season, not just one afternoon. But, now that I know that, I'll order accordingly (or order another product that lasts longer).

This stuff is amazing. The ice just dissappears.

For thin ice it works for loosening the ice for your windshield wipers but on thick ice it doesn’t really do the job. On a morning with thick ice I sprayed a good amount on the windshield and waited for like 5 minutes with the heater on. Upon turning on the windshield wipers nothing happened and even using my snow scraper the ice was still thick on the windshield. I live in Colorado and I’m not sure it’s something I’d try again but it’s worth a shot if you want to try. It’s not that expensive and it might work for you.
