Stella & Chewy’s freeze-dried raw patties can be fed dry or rehydrated prior to feeding. If you choose to use the products dry, please be sure your pet is drinking plenty of water at mealtime.

How do I store Stella & Chewy's freeze-dried food?

Our freeze-dried foods are shelf stable and can stay in your pantry until date of expiration. If the food is rehydrated, leftover portions can be refrigerated for up to 2 days.

If your dog has no food allergies or sensitivities, switching proteins/recipes is a good idea; it can help prevent intolerances and allergies. Feed 1 flavor for 2-6 weeks, then switch. No transition is needed between flavors for an average dog.

When using Meal Mixers as a topper, introduce it slowly and reduce the current food to avoid overfeeding. If feeding as a complete meal (all recipes except Savory Salmon & Cod can be complete meals), transition slowly using the recommended timeline.
