Effortless Products 6' Squirrel Stopper Pole and Baffle Set

This product has proven to work. I have not had a squirrel on my feeder since I installed it. The construction is a little flimsy. I am looking forward to seeing how long it will last.

A good, cost effective way to keep those squirrels away from your bird feeder.The baffle were easy to put together and place in the yard. The hook is sturdy enough for a small bird feeder. However, I recommend mounting the hook so it hangs over the foot peg you put in the ground, that way the entire baffle is more stable.The only problem I had was the squirrels trying to chew the plastic rings holding the disk on the post of the baffle. I shot some hornet killer spray on the plastic - not enough to hurt the squirrels, just enough to keep them from chewing the plastic - and that solved the problem.Remember to place these away from the trees, otherwise the squirrels will just climb the trees and jump down on top of your bird feeder!

Product would have been great but parts and assembly instructions were missing, product returned.

Good idea...but materials are inferior. The pole is designed for very light weight bird feeders. I finally had to place rock at the base to keep it sturdy and also reduce the amount of bird seeds in container. Think twice before pitching this item.

The set didn’t come with all the pieces to assemble. In addition, the baffle that protects from the squirrel climbing up the pole was already broken due to a bad weld.Should have headed the advice of the other reviews.

This works great! The squirrels cannot get to the feeder so they wait at the bottom for the birds to drop food.

Arrived with printed assembly instructions and all of the hardware, which other reviewers have complained were lacking. But there were other issues. Most concerning was one broken weld on one of the arms under the baffle. Rather than the hassle of returning it I was able to fashion a fix with some Gorilla tape. Another caution: The hardware was packed in two tiny plastic bags tucked in with various pieces. These can easily be lost in the unpacking. (I didn't initially see one inside another plastic bag holding one part of the baffle.) Otherwise assembly was pretty easy. The "H" base does a good job of stabilizing the pole when in use. I also hang a Slinky on the pole above the baffle as a further deterrent to the more-sly squirrels. Four stars may be a little generous given the faulty weld, but overall it's OK for the price

It works almost 100%. There are a couple very motivated squirrels that have made it past, but not many!
