Its sturdy,id say its pot metal and not aluminum handle.I have a high end b e n ch m a de otf and this knife is much heavier than it. Not thats a bad thing i personally like the weight.440c is bad steel, but China could do much better. But then the price goes up. Well give it the test of time before it needs resharpening. Mine came razor sharp!It last about 15 cycles of opening and it just stopped working and i had to reset it each time.Im used to how these work a bit, so i hit it with some WD40, no help.Next step was surgery on it.I lubed what never got hit the first time and then wiped it all dry, you just want a film on internals and not dripping lube.I reassembled it and used a pattern in doing so and left the screw rather loose. It worked perfect. I then tightened the all down snuggly. It went back to not working 1/2 the time.I loosed all the screws just to the point it wasnt tight nor loose. It works perfectly now.I did clean the screws and their socket and added blue locktight to make them not back out being pretty much “finger” tight.Over all im happy as i live for tinkering and hope this helps anyone with this issue.

The blade has a little play and it's kinda hard to switch it but otherwise it feels solid and is a good knife

This is a great knife. Was looking for a knife that was easy to open with one hand. This knife is heavily built and very solid. Opens and closes easily with thumb switch.
