This is a lovely first paintbrush for babies and toddlers. The chunky wooden handle is the main advantage because it is much easier for small hands to hold than a standard thin paintbrush, particularly when they are still developing their grip and coordination. The brush itself feels nicely made and is a good size for early mark-making rather than detailed painting.It works well with children’s paints, but I also like that it could be used for water painting outside, painting on cardboard or other simple messy-play activities, so it isn’t limited to one particular type of craft.The main downside is the price. It is considerably more expensive than an ordinary children’s paintbrush, and ultimately it is still a relatively simple product and you only recieve 3, which might get used up pretty quickly! You are paying for the child-friendly design and quality of the materials rather than additional features.

My 2 year old finds these so easy to hold, good quality and wash well too.

Used these with my nearly 2 year old and she had so much fun. They were easy for her to hold on to, and they cleaned up nicely. My 6 month old even had a good hold on them!

These are quite short and stubby, ideal for a toddler’s hands. The bristles are firmly fixed in the handle. Excellent quality. I love the fact that they are short, and so easy to use.

The brush separates from the body. No plastic but not effective either. It's not suitable for under 3 as a result. Easy to hold for those small hands when it does work.
