Simple and Keeps Time Great
I have had this for 4 months and it is 26 seconds slow. I like the watch band in back of the face as it keeps the metal off my skin. This arrangement has always been more comfortable for me. It is basic, simple black and you do have to update the date following any month that does not have 31 days. And there is no magnifier in the crystal so if your eyes are old it is hard to see. The watch and face are what I consider normal size. The indiglo light is not great but it is enough so you can see the hands... good thing about analog watches is you can figure it out without reading the numbers. I got exactly what I wanted a basic watch that keeps good time and is comfortable on my wrist.

Highly recommend.
Great watch, durable. I’m hard on watches but this lives up to being a Timex. Love the composite case and Velcro band.

Exact same one I had for 12 years
I wore the exact same watch for 12 years I think the vibration of power tools killed it but after 12 years I got my money's worth

Great watch! But a little loud
I like this watch a lot! It's easy to read, looks good, and the built in light is a great feature. The only complaint I have with it is, it's very loud. If you have it anywhere in your room at night, you will be able to hear it. I've had to place it in a drawer at night so I can't hear it anymore. Also, I've occasionally been able to hear it out in public, which I don't think is normal for watches.

Washer machine safe. At least by accident.
I read the reviews for the flaws. Maybe they are more opinion than fact. I bought this watch for heavy duty landscaping. So far so good. Put my landscaping pants through the washer and dryer. Went I put away my clean laundry I found the watch still ticking and the indiglo still works. The time was a half hour slower. Maybe that has something to do with the 35 minute cold water quick wash cycle I just ran it through. Ever since I reset it. The time remains true. At least now I know how clean the wrist band. Just wrap the watch in some cloth and put it in the washing machine.

Timex is a proven watch!
Nothing fancy in a watch but I like it, all I need is time.

looks nice and so on but randomly stops working
We were very excited to get this for my son as his first real watch, and it looks really neat, and the light is working fine so far, but the watch keeps stopping working at random times. This of course makes it pretty useless as a watch. Very disappointed. (We did check the battery to make sure it was not about that, and it is not.)

Just what I was looking for
I like to know what time it is if I wake up in the middle of the night. I have a smartwatch and a conventional wrist watch with a metal bracelet. I wear that one at night but it's uncomfortable sometimes and restrict my movements. My smartwatch has a very comfortable nylon bracelet, but I don't wear it at night since it has to charge more or less daily. So I was looking for a conventional watch with a similarly comfy wrist band to wear instead of my other watch with the metal band. This fits the bill perfectly. It's easy to read at night as the hands glow in the dark, plus there's the Indiglo feature in case the hands' photoluminescence isn't enough. The bracelet is very comfortable to wear 24/7 and the velcro closure feels very secure. As a whole, the watch feels nice and sturdy and I'm quite happy with the purchase for the $40 price! I haven't tested the water resistance but trust that it works according to spec. Its ticking is somewhat loud but it doesn't bother me.

I’ve been using the Timex Expedition Acadia for a few weeks now, and I’m genuinely impressed by its performance and design. The watch is lightweight yet feels sturdy, and the 40mm resin case fits comfortably on my wrist without being bulky. I love the simplicity of the black dial with full Arabic numerals—it’s easy to read at a glance —and the Indiglo night light is a fantastic feature for low-light conditions. The fabric strap is secure and comfortable, though it was a bit stiff initially; it softened up after a few wears. What really stands out is the watch’s reliability. It keeps accurate time down to the second, and I haven’t had to adjust it since setting it up. The water resistance is a nice bonus—I’ve worn it during short swims without any issues. For the price, this watch offers excellent value. It’s a no-frills, durable timepiece that’s perfect for everyday wear or outdoor adventures. If you’re looking for a classic, functional watch that doesn’t break the bank, this one’s a solid choice.

Great watch. Looks great. Fits great. The indigo works well in the dark. Not an issue for me but you can hear the second hand ticking (helpful for some people to know as it didn’t mention anything in the listing).
