I didn't think this would do much for my car, but I was wrong! It didn't fix the issue my trans was having, but it did improve it helping me narrow down the list of things that could have been wrong with my trans. My 98 civic was shifting hard from first to second and would shudder when cruising between 20 and 50mph. both problems diminished immediately after putting this in leading me to believe that when my car overheated recently (just before problems started), I likely burnt my trans fluid and coated the inside of my trans with varnish. Now I know how to fix my car and will use the rest of this bottle when I change my fluid. Would buy again! Edit 9-9-2015: The shudder came back after a few weeks. I bought the Platinum version at a brick and mortar along with the dr. tranny instant shudder fix. This also helped for a little while. I finally broke down and bought a gallon of atf to do the first fluid change and now the problem is gone. I attribute this to having this additive in there to help the new fluid work better. I still have the rest of this bottle and Intend to put it in with the next, and final fluid change to do my 98 civic the way it's supposed to be done according to Honda. The hard shift never came back, though. I believe this product (and the other two by the same company) is directly responsible for my trans not taking a dirt nap when I changed the fluid like the majority of high-mileage cars I've changed the trans fluid on. Wish it would have fixed the issue of my trans slamming into gear when I push the gas before I come to a complete stop, but that's probably a product of the 261,000+ miles it has driven and not something that a fluid additive will fix. That's another story. Bottom line: I would absolutely buy this again and may actually buy another bottle to put in just to be sure that my trans fluid is good. I added a star because this stuff does what it is supposed to!

My 1993 Lebaron Convertible, V6, has 250,000 km on it and runs very well. But in October, 2014, the automatic transmission suddenly started to slip so badly, it needed to be towed to a transmission shop. It was determined the transmission had to be rebuilt at a cost of $1500.00. Not wanting to spend anymore money on it, I had it towed home. I then learned about Lubegard on an internet car repair forum. Several people recommended this product because of its ability to either minimize or eliminate transmission shudder/slipping. I ordered it, installed it in the transmission, and for the next few weeks, I took it for numerous short drives around the neighbourhood. Each time I took it out on these drives, it would start slipping. I would end having to shut it off and start it up again to get it moving again. I didn't notice a change until a couple of months later and after I had put about a total of 100 km on the car during these test drives. The slipping has now completely gone away and as of the day of this review it's still working fine. Update: August 2/15 - the car is still running great! I've put 2000+ kilometres on it since adding Lubegard. I recommended this product to a friend and he has used it and he has experienced the same results! Update: November 2016 -started to shift roughly, so I added another bottle of Lubegard. Fixed the problem again! Update: July 18/17 - Now have 7000+ km on it since first bottle of Lubegard in 2014. Update: June 5/18 - Over 10,000 km since using Lubegard - still running strong
