Otherwise this is a handy addition to the perfect grinder.
Flange set was just what I needed to use the type 1 disc. As stated this secures type 1 discs. However you also need to get the proper guard for your protection. I have heard that some sort of bend the original guard and it will work. I will admit there are times you will need to completely remove the guard to execute a cut. That being said you need to EXTRA careful using the grinder. Otherwise this is a handy addition to the perfect grinder.

Switching between abrasive attachments
Has you setting parts not used on the present attachment down and becoming lost. This is a replacement. Works great till misplaced again.

Have 5/8-11 spindle on my 7-9" Milwaukee grinder that needed this so I could use 7/8 arbor 7" grinding wheels at the right height with a dust shroud attached. We use the hand grinder for concrete grinding and if you utilize a non threaded cup wheel, this is a must have. fits multiple grinder brands....

Grinder flange set that fits standard grinders!
It's the whole set! Not only the threaded piece, and not only the one with the cutout. And it fits standard grinders! It fits EVERY grinder I have! Here's a list! Makita GA5010 Mastercraft 299-7716-6 AG01H-2 Benchmark 1250-000 JD-3116 10A Bosch GWS 13-50 Bosch GWS 10-45 Bosch GWS8-45-2 Dewalt DWE 4012 Milwaukee 6130-33 So, if you've got any standard 4 1/2"-5" grinder, pretty sure it will fit your arsenal too! Have fun (and be sure to keep your flanges in a safe place and not lose them just because you put an accessory that doesn't need flanges on the tool)!

Does not fit Makita GA9040S
Bought to add type 1 diamond blade to my Makita GA9040S purchased at same time. Inner flange oval is to small for arbour. I switched with another grinder I had and all's good in the end. Very good quality. But be aware. If the arbour has anything more than .825 inch or 20.93mm this set will not fit. Another note the hole spacing for the wrench is not compatible with the set with this grinder.

Not quite the correct part but...
I could tell that this was not quite the exact part for my old grinder/polisher, but I only needed to cut a slot out and make a perfect fit.
