BioAdvanced 24 Hour Lawn Insect & Fire Ant Killer, Granules, 10 lb

Easy to spread, longevity is questionable. We're putting down a second bag sooner than recommended due to insects making a strong comeback.

We have a very large lawn and were overrun with fire ants. We put this down everywhere using a broadcast spreader. The first two weeks, we wondered if we had wasted our money. During week three, we realized we had fewer ants. By the fourth week, we were impressed! Now, six weeks later, we have at least an 80% reduction in ants!! A few new mounds have cropped up, which we are treating individually. We have dogs and horses, and kept them away from the product as directed. No ill effects to any of them or us. We will happily buy this product again and recommend it!

Works well but the broad spectrum has to be applied heavier than listed for sq feet in order to not still have nests pop up. I had to reapply after three rain storms but I live on a well traveled high mileage highway next to large uncared for neighboring properties Does work well. I found hand casting more efficient and less over treating any spot. Dispersing fertilizer casters are too Big casting too much over an area and not allowing all footage covered. After hand casting my second bag it treated more sq feet but only lasts two or three rains after treatment. But it’s more economically sound still for value pricing compared to other brands. Other brands did last 6 months but cost more than my budget allowed so closest best next to best for more cost intially

It works very well. Here in W Tennessee, I've had a LOT of trouble with fire ants this year(2025) I bought this because the price was much better for a bag this big than if I'd purchased a similar product at my local Tractor Supply. I used a broadcast spreader and poked the tops of mounds with a stick to open them up then sprinkled an extra dab on top so it could fall down in the holes. After 24 hours a couple of the mounds were still active, but the ants were staggering. By the next day, they were all dead. Any time I see the smallest sign of a new colony I sprinkle a bit on that area and it knocks them right down. I repurposed an empty Parmesan shaker, labeled it and filled it up and dropped in the cup holder on my mower so I could catch them when I see them. It works great and is very handy. I'd definitely recommend it.

I have used the product for years with no issues till now. One week after use (no storms or heavy watering) I found a new massive ant pile, and none of the yard bugs died and remain thriving.

I really like this fire ant killer. Works really well, when a mound pops up you just sprinkle this on the mound and a little more around in the grass around it.

Quality product at a fair price. Arrived when promised.

I discovered grubs in my garden when the flowers started to die. This product got rid of the grubs and my garden is again a showcase.
