Perfect rack mount for my Raspberry Pi clusters
Love It. I have 10 Raspberry Pi 4 and 5 devices and this was the perfect mounting I needed to move them to my 19" rack. I was able to mount my RPi 5 with an NVME HAT without any issues. Its tight but works find. Provides a nice clean look verses a scattering of PIs and their cases. What you will spend for 2-3 cases you can afford this mount so good value for the money.

Technically fine, but probably not flexible enough for most.
This rackmount is well constructed with good fit and finish for the price, with a collection of features that sound good on paper. In practice, I regret buying it. The practical use cases for this are fairly slim. The hard drive mount is nice, if you are using an ssd. However if you want to use a hat it will be supported exclusively by the pins, as most supports would interfere with the mounting holes. A lot of hats would be unusable or inconvenient anyway. Anything that adds ports would block the tray, as would anything with a height much higher than the io of the pi. But then, even without a hat you still run into trouble as there is barely enough room between the pis to fit a power cord. I short, if you specifically want to use pi 4s with raspberry pi's official poe hat and maybe an ssd over usb, this works great! For anything else... Your mileage may vary

Great product from a good company
I got this to rack my Pi4 Kubernetes Cluster. It fits well and holds the 5 Pi's great. The only issue i had was with the screw holes on one of the sleds. When I screwed in my brass standoffs, they were tight fitting. Two of them ended up snapping off. I tried to run a screw in first to clean them off, but it didn't help. As I already had 4 of them already mounted and really didn't want to return the whole thing. I contacted the company and explained what happened. They promptly sent me a replacement sled that was perfect. Would buy from them again!

Difficult to remove devices when power plugged in
Almost a good design. I'm not sure why the bays have quick release screws. with how close the devices are together, it is next to impossible to remove the device. there is not enough space to slide the device in or out with the power adapter in. Very difficult with large hands to try and plug it in once its it the rack. Otherwise its fine

Got my rack Pi-ed Up
I was tired of the clutter of multiple Raspberry Pi devices scattered around my office. This rackmount solution has been a game-changer. It’s sleek, compact, and offers excellent protection for my Pis. The best part? The ability to use PoE (Power over Ethernet) has significantly streamlined my setup. No more tangled power cables or extra power outlets. Beyond the physical benefits, this rackmount has also improved device management. With all my Pi devices neatly organized in one place, it’s easier to monitor their status, troubleshoot issues, and perform maintenance. It’s a fantastic solution for anyone looking to optimize their server rack and elevate their Raspberry Pi experience.

Perfect for a home networking rack & organizing random Pi systems
I set up a home networking rack, and this was great for getting all my IoT Raspberry Pi systems sitting all over my house into one central location with properly routed cables. I'm using Pi systems from the original 1B all the way up to a Pi 4, and even a Pi Zero W that can mount on one side of these. Works great with all of them.

Be prepared to make it janky
Shipped what I asked for. Build quality is good, front removal is nice but only if you have POE, and that’s where the headache begins. The space dedicated to the 2.5” drive is a killer if you want POE & nvme hats since you will likely be too tall. I have two RPI 5’s with different hats (geek pi P33 POE+ active cooler + single full size nvme, which I will call “tall boi”. The second is a pi 5 with an active cooler, a uctronics POE hat U627803, and an nvme hat geekworm x1002 I'll call “long boi”. Both required modding the rack trays. Tall boy basically had to be cut apart and slammed down as low at the slot would go. I realized just rebending it would end up with the screw standoffs too far forward to work, so I hacked off the front with a dremel and made the opening larger as well. Then I added a hacked up spare metal 2.5” to 3.5” internal drive adapter to screw together to the new face, and added some new drilled out spots and extra rubber feet to stand the RPI off the makeshift tray. I was able to get tall boy safely in and out of the rack without modifying and of its hardware with a bit of clearance to spare above. For long boi, the nvme attachment is meant to mount on the bottom of the RPI. However, it plus an nvme drive makes it considerably taller than the slot allows for an old sata SSD. For this one, I did also shorten the default standoffs by about half their length and enlarged the front opening. Then I took another one of those spare drive caddies and made an expansion board for the nvme hat, since I had plenty of dead space behind. That one was easier though to hook up the POE I have to wait on some GPIO and power raises since it is too short with an active cooler on the board. Wish I would have read more going into this and figured out something else. I was also shocked that you can’t just buy replacement trays themselves, or trays that support a shorter height figure by skipping the SSD slot. Still not sure what I want to do with the older RPI4b on the rack. I don’t love the usb to SATA adapter looping the front like that but I may just have to live with it.

The item arrived in a damaged condition with the end bay bent. The packing and shipping materials was obviously not sufficent to protect it in transit. I did try to contact the seller as this was an Amazon Marketplace product, however I received no response. I'd have to say that, although it serves it's purpose, I though a little more thought might have gone into the design. The undermounting SSD bracket is OK, but maybe a reverse option where you could manage the SATA to USB cable better would have been nice. Overall, a little underwhelmed by the product and the way it arrived, though it is nice to look at in the rack!

This single unit was bought on March 25, 2025 and arrived on March 29, 2025 - Amazing shipping time. The selling price at that time was $81.96 and with tax was $91.80 Canadian. The same item sold directly from the manufacturer is less than $50.00 USD but with shipping, exchange, duties & taxes buying it on the Canadian Amazon website makes it a wash and was faster to receive. Regardless, the review is for the unit and my personal experience with using these cases for about two years now. Short Version: Holds five RPI in all configurations. Easy to install SSD and Pi to the removable sled. Captive spring loaded screws are great for removal. Light weight in design and comes with all the required hardware for mounting. Long Version: I have been using four of these five bay server rack mounts for about two years. The frame is light weight aluminum but is thick enough to support the weight and securely mount to a rack without flexing or bending. The open front design allows any RPI in production to be used and installed into this case / mount / frame. The ability to have and install both SSD & Micro SD card in one housing is fantastic to help expand storage. The overall fit and finish of the case is OK. Nothing fancy as it’s just punched out, drilled, and formed aluminum. The only snipe I have is the company (UCTRONICS) does NOT sell the Micro SD card extension cable directly on the Amazon.Ca site vs the American site for approximately $14-15.00 USD?!?! The only Canadian seller of this Micro SD card extension cable wants to charge $45.XX for a $5.00 cable??? Overall this server mounting kit for the raspberry pi is a solid product and allows a safe & clean installation. NOTE: The Raspberry Pi’s can not be removed with the sled if you have ANY sort of add on hat that exceeds the front opening!

This item has been pretty poorly designed requiring you to either need to buy a PoE hat for each pi you wish to use or buy an angled adapter as each pi is too close to the other one to allow a power cable to be inserted without causing significant stress to the power port (usb c or micro depending on the pi)
