Not lighting better

I bought it for my Friends car as he requested me to buy a pair of Led Headlight bulb for his car. After researching a lot I found these lights at a decent price tag. So I bought for him and lights have great throw. He earlier had halogen bulbs and night driveabilty was worse but now it has become a breeze to drive at night. The performance of the light is awesome. Road visibility has improved. The power of the bulb is decent and does not affect the battery of the car much.

I purchased these macbot 160 watt h4 leds for Spresso. I checked these bulbs using ampere meter and i found out that these are not really 80 + 80 bulbs. Led controller is heating too much. You can't even touch them. Actual power is 40 watt per bulb. So if a bulb is using 40 watt power, some power is used to drive the fan and some power is wasted in heat. Remaining power is used to drive the leds. So actual light output is lower than 40 watts per bulb. Now about the light output low beam is good, but high beam is very bad. There is no light pattern. I tried adjusting bulbs in every position but high beam is very bad. These lights are not for highway. For city purpose you can buy for price around 2800. I also suggest to survey your market and ask for demo if possible if you want to install led bulbs in reflector type of headlight and try to go for branded leds like osram.
