A good machine which makes a great coffee.
My wife loves her Nescafe Dolce Gusto machine, this is her 4th over a 8 year period (or so), the machine provides a good quality cup of coffee in one of many flavours/styles.The capsules are available from supermarkets though some stock more flavours than others, they aren't cheap but when compared to a coffee shop you get up to 16 capsules for only a little more than a single shop coffee (at one of the chains). On purchasing the machine we also received a voucher for £10 off the Dolce Gusto online store plus each box of capsules has a code which allows you to, at present, enter a competition to win a year supply of coffee (not sure how long this is valid for and whether it will be updated to a new competition once it ends). The machine is well designed and looks good in any time of kitchen, this machine is wider than it is deep which allows it to perch on the edge somewhere, the water is added to a reservoir on the back of the machine and the capsule is placed in the front. Now right at the start I said that this was our 4th machine and that is partially due to one issue, this only happened on our last machine (the earlier ones wore out after a decent length of life), ensure there is water in the reservoir, we made the mistake of turning on the machine with very little water and then walking away and it never recovered.A good machine which makes a great coffee.

Easy, convenient way of having a decent coffee. We love it.
We bought this machine to replace an existing Dolce Gusto coffee machine which was about 8 years old so we knew we love the coffee it makes. It is never going to match up to bean to coffee machines which make proper froth using milk and a steamer (some reviewers question the quality of the coffee) but it is not meant to. It is a convenience coffee machine and for the minimal effort, it makes great tasting coffee. We love the latte, the cappuchino as well as the hot chocolate (choccochino), chai tea latte, vanilla latte and the white coffee pods. We had the older style with the dome shaped water tank and the Oblo is a much neater size, not taking a lot of room up at all. I do think it is a bit noisier than our old one but it doesn't bother me at all. It does heat up incredibly fast, only about 10 seconds compared to our old one which was closer to about 40-50 seconds heat up time. It incorporates an auto switch off if unused after 5 minutes. I know some reviewers complain about measuring out the right amount of water. I have never bothered doing this, just done it on an educated guess basis knowing my cups hold 200ml. Then after a while I knew the milk pod would be up to the handle level etc. It is not rocket science and despite not ever doing it exactly my drinks have always tasted lovely. If you are after an easy, convenient way of having a decent coffee then Dolce Gusto is the way to go. My in laws have a Tassimo machine and coffee from a Dolce Gusto is less strong (taste wise - Tassimo is more akin to a double shot coffee in taste) and definitely more up my street. Supermarkets now do great deals on the pods, often 3 boxes for a £10. We have the cups and latte glasses from the Dolce Gusto website and they are lovely and definitely worth having.

Great little machine
Great little pod machine, especially at just over £50 nice design, doesn't feel cheap and the coffee is lovely. There are some complaints on here about getting the amount of water right but it's all in the instructions and it's down to personal taste anyway. My 11 yr old can work it so that shows how simple it is (and how I must now hide the hot chocolate pods! Lol)I would of given it 5 stars but it's let down by the water compartment being a little fiddly to remove and replace but mostly the bright red lead and plug, it's pretty gross on the white and grey machine, not sure why they've used it, luckily for me my machine will live inside a cupboard but it would be better with a plain white or black lead and plug. All in all a good little machine for the money I paid.

Well worth the money
Bought this after my Dolce Gusto Krups machine broke (probably by me). This is a nicer looking machine, but has two niggles. The recess can only take regular sized mugs. But since the coffee pods are intended for use with certain amounts of water it's no real bad thing. And the water container is at the back. You need to turn the machine away from the wall to get it. The other one I had could be lifted out without moving the machine.Other than that, function and use of them is identical and simple.I bought this from Amazon for £39.50. It comes with six coffees in the box, plus a voucher for £10 off more online. £4 a box for 16 online. With many flavours. Supermarkets do a limited choice at £4 also but have £7 for two or sometimes £10 for 3. Good for basic coffee types.

Oblo - great machine
This brand was recommended to me as one of the easier to use. It couldnt be easier which is just as well as the user manual is a picture guide mainly. Each box of pods you buy has a picture on the box showing how much water to put in after the coffee, then you put the milk pod in and again it shows how much water to put in with the milk. It takes about 30 seconds from switching on to finished drink. fantastic. Different flavours may require different size mugs and i quickly found using a normal coffee mug made the coffee go cold very quickly. Using latte glasses also helps with adding the correct amount of water to optimise flavour. There are many flavours to choose from including tea! and they taste cafe bought and keep the layers just as in the picture. It uses about as much space as a toaster, requires descaling approx. every 4 months and holds a litre of water. The water tank detaches at the back for filling with ease. There was also a voucher in the pack for £10 off dolce gusto online, i've only owned mine for a few days and ican't fault the product yet. Wish i had bought this sooner
