To be honest - I have been a Fry Daddy fan for years and I am on my second one. My one frustration was no temperature control. I finally just had it and went looking for a good alternative and I found this. You can easily adjust the temperature. ADDED bonus - it has a basket for frying small items AND a top to omit splattering!!! Oh Chefman...where have you been all my life?!?!?!

This fryer works well for the single person or perhaps a couple. Full range of settings to 375 degrees. Includes a stainless steel fry basket and depth of oil well leaves plenty of room to drain fried foods. I’d recommend it for anyone needing small capacity or space savings.

There are so many things to dislike about this item... the temperature dial is not at all precise and the highest temp was inaccurate according to my digital thermometer I used to check the actual temperature. The oil "tank" is not removable, but it is also not sealed, so oil can get underneath the tank edges and into the body of the fryer itself. In order to clean the unit, you must first detach the lid by "grasping both sides firmly and pulling up". Good luck trying to do that while not spilling the oil in the tank. It is encouraged not to overfill the basket, but there are no guides within the basket to let you know what is considered "over filled". With oil squarely between the minimum and maximum fill lines, I put a handful of French fries in the basket (less than half full) and the oil still overflowed the unit. There is a lid to decrease splatter, but steam forms on the underside and ultimately drips water into the oil which causes it to pop and splatter. I missed the return window for this product because I had not used it before the expiration. A very disappointing waste of $35.

I’ve only used it a couple of times, but it works great. I didn’t want something too big… It’s perfect for my small apartment.

Works as it should. Gets hot enough to fry. Going to take awhile to get things brown. It doesn’t get real real hot. But I’ve made french fries And got them crispy. It’s small. So you can’t fry much at once.

I love the compact size. I love the way the handle attaches to the basket. It is extremely sturdy and it is not going to fall into the hot grease. I love the size. It’s not only compact for storage, but it is just perfect for one or two people Heated extremely quickly. Food was ready and no time and it was delicious. And I had forgotten how much I missed having my own fried food at home. I mean, I have an air fryer and I use it most of the time but let’s face it people. Sometimes you just want some french fries or in my case today deep fried onion rings. And then There you go. So it took no time to heat up no time to cook. It was delicious. Compact size handle was sturdy. I am in love with this product not even kidding. I am so happy I purchased this particular one.
