This book is well worth reading, the rating referees to this edition. This supposedly 'formatted for E-readers' version retains hundreds of annotations to illustrations that are not included and is not particularly well formatted for easy reading (at least on my Kindle).There must be better E-reader versions out there.

Only volume 2 was received. It's excellent, but I would like to receive volume 1 if it is still available.

This was in an outstanding condition, much better than what I was expecting and really fast delivery time. Recommended every time; and the book... well this is classic stand on Universal History a standpoint that everyone should at least read once.

I am addicted to H. G. Wells Outline of History. A very interesting view on human history.

I strongly recommend this book to every human being.

This HG Wells history is superior to other History of the World books I have. He is a novelist as well as a historian, so his descriptions of historical personages and civilizations and placesreally come alive. You get the small details as well as the historical, geographical, and political context of events and people.Unfortunately, it's impossible to find what you're looking for because there is no Table of Contents and no Index. Andthe section headings are not differentiated from the regular text. There are misleading entries that look like section headings but are really descriptions of maps and illustrations, which are not included in this volume. So what appears to be a section heading is really only a mistleading graphic. They dont apply to the copy at all. There is a sort of table of contents around page 400 (why there?), but all the page numbers are completely wrong.So the bottom line is, the information and writing style makes this book extremely worthwhile. The physical presentation makes it nearly impossible to read or to find what you're looking for.
