Why did you pick this product vs others?: Fantastic life vest. My 4 yr old kid loved these at Disney World Resorts. He always refuses to go into the deep end. But with this life vest, he swims around no problem. It’s very comfortable. He never asks me to take it off. He even fell asleep in the car with it on. It’s also very easy to pick him up by holding on the top of the shoulders. So we decided to buy one for going to our local swimming pool. It’s the best kid life vest I’ve ever found.

I got this for my 7 year old son to be safer in the ocean, especially after a particularly active day with waves! To give you an idea of how the product works, a huge wave hit/went over my son, and he popped back up again because of the vest. Not only that, but it is incredibly comfortable. He rides his boogie board, and it is not hard or harsh on his belly even though the vest and boogie board are pressed up against each other. I have not heard one complaint about the comfort; in fact, just the opposite ... when he is ready to go in the water, he happily grabs "his vest," snaps it up himself, and jumps in! I also want to mention the design is terrific - it has an adjustable strap that goes under his crotch so the vest doesn't ride up over his head (which has NOT been uncomfortable for him), 2 straps around the chest that are adjustable, and nice, thick, soft shoulder areas. I am completely pleased with this product (and I am a very TOUGH audience when it comes to items, especially for the children. P.S. He is 4 ft. 60lbs and the size Small is perfect

I don’t write reviews often but this life vest is amazing. We first used them on our recent trip to Disneyland’s Grand Californian pool and were so impressed how independent our toddlers were we decided to buy them right away for our home. Whether your young ones aren’t quite there yet swimming on their own or never taken a lesson these vests are great in the meantime. This is the best life jacket for small children. The arm holes are smaller than the typical arm hole openings found on the neoprene life vest. That feature keeps the jacket from riding up on the child making it much more comfortable to wear. We used them with our children 20+ years ago and now we have them for our grandchildren. The soft shell adds to the comfort of the wearer too.

I wish these life vests were around when our kids were growing up. My daughter was introduced to Texas Rec life vests when their family went on a Disney cruise. She was so impressed with the comfortable fit and safety features that they immediately bought one when they returned home. We have an outdoor pool; our four year old grandson spends every waking moment in it. We feel much safer knowing he's in one of these vests, and I’m convinced they help boost children's confidence levels. He's not afraid to swim in any water depth and can dive and jump without the vest riding up or becoming uncomfortable. My daughter lives on a lake, so the vest get used both here and there. Texas Rec life vests may be a bit pricier than some other swimming vests, but they’re well worth the cost and peace of mind. These are photos of our four year old—he’s been wearing this X-small for two years and it's showing no signs of wear. Update: We finally bought the next size up (small) for the four year old, but his one year old twin brothers can still get lots of use out of the smaller size because they’re such sturdy little vests. Thanks to this vest and some swimming lessons, the four year old can now swim without one, but he still wears a vest while boating or tubing for safety reasons.

I bought this after going to Typhoon Lagoon. It’s the best life jacket Ive found for my 3 year old. It allows his arms to move freely and keeps him upright while he’s kicking his legs. You need to stay with your child though, it’s not going to help if your child is tired… they will end up face down vs head back. Overall I would buy this life jacket a million times.

My son is autistic so extremely picky. He does not mind wearing this at all and says it is comfortable. It fits well and does not ride up when in water. Looks great without being over bulky and quickly earned his confidence. Doesn’t affect his range of motion.

Upon opening the package, I pulled the life jacket out of the box the first thing I noticed is that the vest was stuck together like it had been melted when trying to unbuckle the straps. Once I flipped the vest over I noticed bubbles all on the outer sides of the life vest along with holes on the top of the shoulder part of the vest. I understand with type of material it can happen. But my son has the same super soft life vest but in the color yellow, and comparing the 2 together even with it being over to 2 years old the yellow vest has no visible wear other than a change in color. No bubbling, or holes. The product I received is faulty, and I would not recommend purchasing.

Es extremadamente cómodo los niños no se quejan al usarlo. Definitivamente lo volvería a comprar.
