Great product at a great price!
Great product and an amazing price. I like to shop local but a similar product cost almost twice as much. The primer lays out flat and looks great. The only complaints, and not really complaining, but the flash time between coats is 30 minutes and it's slow to cure before it's safe to sand....anywhere from 1-3 days. On a plus...it mixes 1:1 so you actually get 2 gallons. I shot the body and body panels of a 1975 IH Scout II that I'm restoring using an Eastwood Concours gun with a 1.3mm tip. Worked out perfectly. I'll be buying this again in black next to do my hardtop. I used Kirker paint on my last Scout project (1972 Scout II) and it came out great! First 3 pics are the current '75 Scout project, before and "ready for paint". The last two are the 1972 before and after using Kirker paint. It was painted almost 9 years ago and still looks great!

Really good epoxy primer!
I originally bought a quart of this to prime the interior of an old VW I am restoring. I was so impressed with the results that I bought another quart to prime the body shell. Once again the results far exceeded my expectations. When it got to the point where I was priming fenders and doors, I finally bought a gallon because I knew I would need more than a quart. It takes a lot of mixing to get everything incorporated, but I used my paint mixer that hooks to my drill and it was mixed in a matter of 4-5 minutes. I hope you don't try to mix this with a paint stick because it will take a half hour to get close. If you have access to a paint shaker, that would be perfect. Once mixed with the catalyst, it flows out of a 1.3mm or 1.4mm tip perfectly! Winter comes early in the northwest, and the last pieces I painted were at 64°F and they still looked fantastic when they finally dried. The photo shows the color of the primer. That was well after I painted it so there is some dirt on it but it all wiped off except for the small sag but I don't paint for a living. 😊 I wish I would have taken a picture of the packaging. I have bought paint online many times, and this was packaged much better than most. The lid had 4 clips to keep it closed and there was a polystyrene top and bottom taped around the can. It goes into a box that keeps it all together tight with no chance of the can opening. The activator came packed in packing paper and the lid has a built-in lock so it will not open. How paint products are packed is important as the last can I received from a certain orange big box home improvement store leaked everywhere. I would highly recommend this epoxy primer and will certainly be buying it for my next project!
