I am providing a 5-star review of this step ladder even though I have not actually used it as of yet.The ladder itself does not need assembling. Only the two handles need to be installed and there is a video posted on the Amazon website illustrating how to install the two handles which is extremely easy. I stood on the ladder from the first step to the last 4th step. It appeared to be sturdy and each step is wide enough to fully plant your feet which creates a secure feeling especially when on the 4th step from the bottom.I have a 6 foot ladder but I always felt uneasy using it because the width of the steps are so narrow. I discovered that I never went higher than the 4th step to complete most of my jobs and figured purchasing a step ladder with a 4th step would meet my needs and cause me to feel safer.The step ladder was delivered on the promised date and it was very securely packaged with all of the screws and nuts for attaching the handles. You will need a wrench and a Phillip's screw driver to install the handles.I will provide an updated review if the ladder fails to meet my expectations after using it a couple of times. But, as of now, I am presently impressed.

If you're looking for a very sturdy ladder enabling you to reach heights without worry9ing, this is a great ladder. Because of the sturdiness of it, it is heavier then one might want as you have to lift it from place to place. But the safety of it is worth it if you can handle the weight. The only thing i would have loved was if it had a shelf that could be used for paint cans or trays. This ladder would not work for you then. I didn't realize it when I bought it but it has been used numerous times and one feels very safe because of the sturdiness.

Am 71 years old and like the railing feature and the bag. The wide steps are great too. It is a little heavy. The sturdyness and stablilty are great front to back but side to side is a little wobbly. Overall it is a good ladder for the older people.

I received the step ladder on time but I have just put it together to use. I'm lucky that my husband has ratchet set in his tool cabinet. It was very easy to put together. After searching for the right size ratchet it took me less than 10 minutes to put in the 4 screws and tighten them after.I bought this for decorating for Christmas but I can see it being used all year long. The top step has to railing but it does have the top bar to hold on to. It felt secure under my feet on carpet. I am 5'7, 65 years young and weigh 150 pounds. I have an 11' Christmas tree and I was able to put a very large, but beautiful, angel on the top with no problem.It is bulky for me to move around the tree but doable. It is a bit heavy but not so much that I can not handle it. I had to move around on the top step to fluff the branches of the tree and felt save and secure even when I twisted and didn't use the top bar for balanceThe steps are a good size. Stepping up it hit right at my arches. When standing my feet were completely on the step. I wear a size 9 women's shoe. Didn't feel to small to stand on as a regular ladder does.When this was delivered, my husband said, "What did you get this for? Where are we going to put that." I just shook my head. All of our children are out of the nest and they did a lot of the decorating for Christmas. As I finished putting it together and folded it to walk to the Christmas tree, my husband said, "I'm going to play golf.". Again, I just shook my head. That is why I needed the 4-step safety Step Ladder.The tool holder at the top will come in handy when I put up the window decorations up. The top of my windows is 7' 7". My two step ladder is now only for dusting. I recommend this for anyone that has to do the high stuff alone.

Easy to put together. Lets me replace light bulbs and reach top cabinets in my home with high ceilings. I am a 74 year old female and can handle this ladder well. It is a little heavy but I have no problem moving it where I want it. Sturdy. Best ladder I have ever had to put my feet on . Rails really help getting up and down and tool caddy will hold lots of tools and stuff. Great ladder

At 73 years old side handles are a must to be stable and help to step up. The height is also good for tall ceilings. It’s a little heavy for me and a little shaky for my complete comfort.

I have balance problems and other stability issues and climbing most ladders makes me a nervous wreck. But not this one! The wide steps, sidebar handles, and top bar that you can lean against all combine to make this the safest feeling ladder I've ever used! Also love the nylon pouch that slips over the top and holds an assortment of tools and accessories you may need for any job, keeping them easily within reach while you're working. I got the 4-step version and it's perfect for feeling safe while you're changing ceiling lightbulbs or decorating the top of your 8 ft. Christmas tree, for example. It's a bit on the heavy side but still manageable and I realized that the weight adds to the stability. Very pleased with my purchase.

The media could not be loaded.  The ladder is heavy and I have to move it by walking it on it’s feet side to side. I cannot lift it.I am a senior woman. It is much taller than I expected and it will not fit into a closet in my older home whose Closets are small. The ladder wiggles like most ladders. Even with my weight on it It is slightly more secure on the floor. I have used both wooden and aluminum ladders all my life but now I was looking for something to give me added security when I have to use a ladder. I do like the side handle bars and how long they are. One of the reasons I chose this ladder over another offered.The steps are very wide and secure. They have a plastic mat attached so I think my sneakers won’t slip. Step size is excellent. I do like the carry all that slips over the handles. This is to replace the holes you find on the top of ladders. Will it hold up if you drop flat head screwdrivers in it? Wish the bottom of the pockets were re inforced. Would I have bought this ladder had I seen it in person? Probably the weight and height would have made me think twice.

A very solid step ladder. You *will* need a 10mm wrench and socket to put on the side rails, as it takes a bit of force to sufficiently tighten the bolts, but once the bolts are torqued down there is no give at all in the side rails. Total assembly time < 5 minutes. Beware the side rails don’t fold in; you’ll need at least 12 in. of clearance to store it in a closet.4 ⭐️ because it’s a wee bit heavy to schlep around, due to the heavy gauge metal construction.

It say the ladder is good for 440 lbs but I later find out it is only good for 220 lbs. I wish the seller would give the right information in the descriptive narration. Now I will have to send it back or take a chance in breaking my neck. I find this happen sporadically on Amazon. The description is inadequate and the product must be sent back. I find it a big hassle with larger items.
